Lose: 46 - 51
It was a game of runs throughout for the Packers and Lions in the first round of District play. Fremont jumped out early in the first, but Newaygo answered and the score was tied at 9-9 after one. Newaygo then outscored the Packers 16-14 in the second quarter to make the halftime score 25-23 in the Lions' favor. Sophia Frisbie led Newaygo in that quarter, scoring 8 of her game high 15 points. That included two three pointers in the quarter. In the third quarter, the Packers went on a 17-5 run to take a 10 point lead at 40-30. The fourth quarter, however, was all Newaygo. The Lions held the Packers to just 2 baskets and 2 free throws, while scoring 21 points of their own, including 10-17 from the free throw line. Foul trouble hurt the Packers some in the second half with Calla Miller and Natalie Jamieson spending extended time on the bench, along with Avery Curnett in the fourth quarter. That foul trouble, along with the Packers having to foul late in the game to stop the clock and try to get the ball back, led to a large discrepancy in free throw attempts in favor of Newaygo. The Lions converted 23-33 on the night, while the Packers were only 8-15.
Paige Vandenberg led the Packers with 12 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 blocked shots. Chloe Shriver had 11 points, while Calla Miller had 10 points. Sophia Frisbie led the Lions with 15 points, while Emerson Goodin had 10. The loss ends the Packers season with a 15-6 overall record. Win: 53 - 32
The Packers got off to a quick start at home Tuesday night with a 17-8 advantage in the first quarter. Tri County didn't go away, though, and battled back to only a 21-20 deficit at halftime with a 12-4 advantage that included three 3-pointers in the second quarter. The first few minutes of the third quarter remained close, but then the tide turned in the favor of the Packers. The Fremont defense created numerous second half turnovers, including 5 steals by Chloe Shriver. Fremont led 39-27 at the end of the third, and outscored the Vikings 14-5 in the fourth quarter to set the final score at 53-32. Paige Vandenberg led the Packers with 17 points, 13 rebounds, and 4 blocked shots. Chloe Shriver added 12 points in addition to her 5 steals. Win: 44 - 37
Fremont did a lot of things right in the first half Friday night, but missed several short shots that could have led to a much larger halftime lead. As it was, the Packers held an 8-3 lead after one quarter and a 22-10 lead at the half. To Grant's credit, they did not back down. They trimmed the Packer lead to 11 by the end of the third quarter, and then outscored Fremont 14-10 in the fourth quarter. Grant matched the Packers in the rebounding category in the second half, and repeatedly won the race to loose balls. The Tigers were also aggressive in driving to the basket, and the Packers were often a step slow in stopping them. Fremont's lead was trimmed to 42-36 late in the game, but the Tigers got no closer, and the Packers survived with a 44-37 win.
Calla Miller led Fremont with 16 points and 6 rebounds. Natalie Jamieson added 8 points, all in the second half, and 10 rebounds. Grant was led by Kristen Throop with 15 points and Jaycee Rider with 14 points. The win improved the Packers' overall record to 13-5, 11-1 in the conference. They host Tri County on Tuesday.

Win: 35 - 30
It was another low scoring affair for the Packers, as their shooting struggles continued. However, their defense was up to the challenge to keep the game close throughout. Fremont held a 6-3 advantage after the first quarter, but trailed 15-11 at the half. Newaygo extended the lead by another point in the third to hold a 23-18 advantage after three quarters. The teams traded baskets to start the fourth, and Newaygo held a 27-21 advantage with about 6:00 to play. However, the Packer defense held the Lions without a basket from there until the end of the game, with the only Newaygo points coming on three free throws after a foul on a long three-point attempt as time expired. The Packer offense put together 14 points during that same time period, to take a 35-27 lead with seconds remaining before the late foul. Paige Vandenberg held the Packers in it early on, scoring 8 of her 11 points in the first half. Calla Miller and Natalie Jamieson were the only Packers to score from the field in the second half, with Jamieson tallying 9 points, and Miller scoring 8 of her 11 in the second half. Vandenberg finished with 10 rebounds, while Miller tallied 4 assists. Jaxie Long led the Lions with 9 points.
The win improves the Packers' overall record to 12-5, 10-1 in the conference. They travel to Grant for another league matchup with the Tigers on Friday.

Win: 43 - 38
Fremont jumped out to a 10-4 lead after one quarter, but a 12-6 advantage for Central Montcalm in the second quarter tied the score at 16-16 at the half. Scoring picked up in the third quarter, but the Hornets outscored the Packers 16-14 to take a 32-30 lead into the fourth quarter. The Packers also got into foul trouble in the third, with both Calla Miller and Paige Vandenberg sitting the final few minutes of the third and much of the fourth after picking up their 4th fouls. Chloe Shriver led the scoring attack for the Packers in the third quarter, scoring 7 points in that period. The Packers trailed for much of the fourth before Shriver scored off a Miller assist to bring the score to 38-37. A five second call gave the Packers the ball back, and on the next possession, Miller scored on her own to put the Packers ahead 39-38. Central Montcalm had to foul three times before the Packers headed to the line, with Haley Zerlaut and Paige Vandenberg each hitting one of two free throws to extend the lead to 41-38. Central Montcalm still had the ball with a chance to tie, but a Shriver steal and layup set the final score at 43-38.
Shriver led the Packers with 11 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 steals. She also keyed the defensive effort against the Hornets' Bailey Vissman, who ended with 9 points, with one basket and going 7-8 from the free throw line.
