The Packers got off to a slow start in this one, trailing by as many as 10 in the first quarter, and 13-5 after one quarter was complete. The second quarter saw Fremont score a bit more, but they still trailed the Hornets 22-17 at halftime. The Packers came out and scored two quick baskets after the break to get within one point, but Central Montcalm quickly answered with two baskets of their own. It wasn't until midway through the 3rd quarter that Fremont took its first lead of the game since it led 2-0. The score then went back and forth for the rest of the 3rd quarter, with Central Montcalm leading 32-31 after three. The fourth quarter saw several lead changes, and increased scoring. The Packers made enough shots and enough plays down the stretch to outscore the Hornets 20-12 in the fourth, and claim a 51-44 victory. Chloe Shriver led the Packers with 14 points, while also playing great defense. Calla Miller had 12 points and 6 steals. Natalie Jamieson had 10 points, and 4 steals, and Paige Vandenberg had 9 points. London Eldridge led Central Montcalm with 12 points, and Bailey Vissman scored 11. The win improved Fremont's overall record to 4-3, 3-0 in conference play. The Packers play at home on Tuesday against Newaygo.
