TRI-COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL: 32
The Packers got off to a quick start at home Tuesday night with a 17-8 advantage in the first quarter. Tri County didn't go away, though, and battled back to only a 21-20 deficit at halftime with a 12-4 advantage that included three 3-pointers in the second quarter. The first few minutes of the third quarter remained close, but then the tide turned in the favor of the Packers. The Fremont defense created numerous second half turnovers, including 5 steals by Chloe Shriver. Fremont led 39-27 at the end of the third, and outscored the Vikings 14-5 in the fourth quarter to set the final score at 53-32. Paige Vandenberg led the Packers with 17 points, 13 rebounds, and 4 blocked shots. Chloe Shriver added 12 points in addition to her 5 steals. Tri County was led by Alicia Bowen with 15 points and Ashley Bialek with 13. The win improves the Packers overall record to 14-5, 12-1 in the conference. They close out the regular season at home on Friday with the final conference game against Chippewa Hills.
