Big Rapids, however, found their shooting touch in the second half, hitting 3 triples in the third quarter. The Packers, on the other hand, went 4-26 in the second half, including 2-17 in the paint. The game was tied at 24 after three quarters, but 2 more triples for Big Rapids and 8-12 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter was too much for the Packers to overcome. Fremont trailed 37-35 under a minute and had the ball, but were unable to convert a short shot, and then the Cardinals made free throws to close out the win.

The Packers were led by Paige Vandenberg's 8 points and 12 rebounds, while Calla Miller and Chloe Shriver each added 7 points. Megan Mackall led the Cardinals with 13 points, and Rylie Haist added 10. The loss drops the Packers overall record to 10-5, 8-1 in the conference. With the win, Big Rapids improves to 14-1 overall, and climbs into a tie for first place with Fremont at 8-1 in the conference.
