The opener between Montague and Fremont was close throughout the first half. A tie game at the quarter turned into a five point lead for Montague at the half. Fremont trailed by as much as 11 in the fourth quarter before storming back to tie the game at 44-44. Montague made its free throws down the stretch to close out the game. Fremont did have one possession at the end with a chance to tie, but were not able to get off a clean shot and missed at the end.
