THE PACKER LADIES SECURE THE CONFERENCE WIN WITH A 6-0 RECORD!!! The ladies hosted Oakridge on Tuesday night for the last conference match this season.  Oakridge came out strong and took the first set from the Packers with a score of 26/28.  In the second set, the Packers responded with a dominated set and claimed the win with a 25/6 score.  In the third and final set the Packers secured their undefeated conference record with a score of 15-9.  Highlights for the match were Grace Evans with 17 serves and Ashe VandenBerg with 14, Grace Evans also had 26 successful passes for the match.  Top tip/attack goes to Kate Mellema with 12, Hallie Snyder with 10, Cayman Ramsey with 10, and Cecelia Crisman with 10. The Packer Ladies head to Hart for one last match on Thursday October 26th. Overall record:  42-12-2 Conference record: 6-0  Lets go Packers!

The Packers traveled to Grand Haven for a 16 team tournament.  The Packers faced off with Rockford, Grandville and Forest Hills Central in pool play.  The Packers split with Rockford ending in scores of 12/25 and 25/14, Forest Hills defeated the Packers with scores of 18/25 and 22/25, the Packers beat Grandville with scores of 25/21, 25/23.  The Packers came out 3rd in the pool, landing a spot in the silver playoff bracket.  First in bracket the Packers met Montague and defeated them with scores of 25/12 and 25/19, next they faced off with Unity Christian and won the match in 3 with scores of 26/24, 22/25 and 15/12.  In the final match of the day, the Packers battled on the court with West Catholic, but ultimately were defeated with scores of 18/25 and 22/25.   Serving Highlights include: Ashe VandenBerg with 59, Grace Evan with 39, Cayman Ramsey with 34, Cecelia Crisman with 25 and Hallie Snyder with 23.  Top players for passing Grace Evan with 61, Rhyse Montague with 19 and Taylor Johnson with 17.  Leading in Tip/Attacks were Cecelia Crisman with 58, Hallie Snyder with 34, Cayman Ramsey with 30 and Kate Mellema with 20. The Packer Ladies traveled to Muskegon for a Tri with Reeths Puffer and Spring Lake.  The first match was with Reeths Puffer and the Packers swept the match winning both sets with scores of 25/23.  The next match was with Spring lake and the Packers were defeated the first set with a score of 12/25, however, the Packers were not giving up.  In the second set, the Packers brought the heat and beat  Spring Lake with a score of 25/21.  In the third set, the Packers defeated Spring Lake in an exciting game that ended in a score of 15/11 securing the win for the Packers.   Highlights for serving include Setter Ashe VandenBerg with 25, Libero Grace Evans with 17, Left hitter Hallie Snyder and Right hitter Cayman Ramsey both with 10.  Passing highlights include Libero Grace Evans with 53, Left back Rhyse Montague with 20, Left back Taylor Johnson with 18, Right back Ava Krohn with 14, and Left hitter Hallie Snyder with 12.  Tip/Attack highlights include Left hitter Cecelia Crisman with 45, Left hitter Hallie Snyder with 26, Right hitter Cayman Ramsey with 17, Setter Ashe VandenBerg with 14 and Middle Kate Mellema with 11. The Ladies head to Grand Haven Saturday October 14 for the 2023 Junior Varsity Lakeshore Classic Invitational.  There they will meet up with 16 teams including Hudsonville, Grand Haven, Jenison, Zeeland East , Grand Rapids Christian, West Catholic, Grandville, East Grand Rapids, Montague, Kenowa Hills, Forest Hills Central, Unity Christian, Coopersville, Byron Center and Rockford.  The tournament begins at 8:30. The Packers hosted Ludington for a conference match on Tuesday night, and they did not disappoint.  The Packer Ladies claimed both sets with scores of 25/19 and 25/17.  Leading ladies for serving were Ashe VandenBerg with 9, Hallie Snyder with 9, Grace Evans with 7 and Ava Krohn with 5.  Leading Passer was Grace Evans with 28.  Leading our tip/attacks was Cecelia Crisman with 15 and Hallie Snyder with 9. The Packer Ladies travel to Reeths Puffer on Thursday night for a Tri.  The matches will begin at 5pm.  Come and cheer on the team as they are sure to give you another great night of Volleyball. The Packer Ladies traveled to Whitehall for a conference match on Tuesday night.  The Ladies worked together for a clean sweep.  The first set the Packers claimed the win with a 25/14 score and the second set with a score of 25/15. Highlights include Ashe VandeBerg with 18 serves, Grace Evans with 17 passes, and Cecelia Crisman with 11 tip/attacks. The Ladies play again at home on Tuesday October 10 at 530 for another conference match with Ludington. Current record for the JV Volleyball Packers 34/10/1 and 4/0 in the conference.

The Packer Ladies traveled to Hesperia this past Saturday September 30 for the JV Panther Volleyball Invitational. The 12 team invitational includes Fremont, Montague, Hesperia White, Orchard View, Whitehall, Chippewa Hills, Hesperia Green, Holton, Frankfort, Ludington, Pentwater and Shelby.  Our first match was with Chippewa Hills and the Packer ladies came on strong.  The match went 2 sets  and the Packers took the win with scores of 25/16 and 25/17.  Our second match in pool play was against Holton.  The Packer ladies dominated the match with scores of 25/6 and 25/4 securing the win.  Next up was Hesperia (green) and once again the Packers were unbeatable with scores of 25/10 and 25/8.  The Packers came out of pool play undefeated and seeded in 1st.   Bracket play began after lunch and the Packers first match was with Montague for the semi-finals.  The Packers swept the semi-finals with scores of 25/10 and 25/12.  This match secured our place in the championship round.  In the championship match the Packers went head to head with Ludington.  Ludington came out strong and won the first set 17/25.  However, the Packers answered Ludington with a second set win of 25/18.  This resulted in a 3rd and final set for the championship.  The Packer Ladies brought everything they had to the court, dug deep and worked as a team to win the last set with a score of 15/10.   The Packers were undefeated overall and only allowed one team to score more than 18 points for the day.   Highlights for the tournament included: Serving: Ashe VandenBerg 47, Grace Evans 29, Cecelia Crisman 21, Rhyse Montague & Allison Weiden, both with 16, Taylor Johnson with 15, Hallie Snyder with 14,  and Kendra Postema with 13. Congratulations to the Packer Ladies who swept the quad tonight in Fremont.  The Packers began the quad against North Muskegon and won in 2 sets with scores of 25/11 and 25/16.  Next, they faced off with Shelby and played great volleyball winning the match in 2 sets with scores of 25/17 and 25/15.  The last game of the night was a duel with Newaygo.  The Packers took the first set with a score of 25/10, however, Newaygo stole the second set with a score of 23/25, in the end, the Packers left it all on the court and sealed the match with a winning score of 15/8.   Top servers tonight include Ash VandenBerg with 35, Grace Evans with 25 and Hallie Snyder with 15.  Top Passers tonight were Grace Evans with 50, Taylor Johnson with 21, and Rhyse Montague with 16.  Top hitters tonight included Ivy Heft with 23, Cecelia Crisman with 22 along with Hallie Snyder and Kendra Postema both with 15. The Packer Ladies traveled to Reed City for an exciting day of volleyball.  We faced off with Potters House, Benzie and Kingsley in pool play.  The Packers defeated Potters house in 2 sets with scores of 25/3 and 25/23.  When dueling with Benzie the Packers came out on top winning in 2 sets with scores of 25/15 and 25/10.  Next up was Kingsley, the first set was a win for the Packers with a score of 25/9 and the second game went to Kingsley with a score of 8/25.  The Packers came out of pool play in second and moved on to the quarterfinals with Reed City.  The Packers won the match in 2 sets with scroes of 25/20 and 25/21.  In the SemiFinals, the Packers went 3 sets with Ludington coming out on top with scores of 16/25, 25/21 and 15/12 to seal the win. In the championship round, the Packers again faced Kingsley in a duel to the end.  The first set was taken by Fremont with a 25/15 win, the second match went to Kingsley with a 20/25 score and in the 3rd and final set, Kingsley won the match with a score of 9/15.  The Fremont Packers took an impressive second place for the day.   Highlights from the day include Ashe VandenBerg with an impressive 78 serves only missing 9, and Grace Evans with 63 serves only missing 11 for the day.  Hallie Snyder had 55 tips/attacks and only 9 errors, Cecelia Crisman also had 55 tips/attacks and only 5 errors.   Lets go Packers!

The JV Packer Ladies traveled to Manistee on Tuesday night to face off with the Mariners.  In the first match the Mariners took an early lead but the Packers fought back and took the win with a 25/17 final score. The second match was dominated by the Packers and they secured the win with a 25/14 win.  Time allowed for a third and final match between the two teams and the Packers again brought the heat and won the set 15/7.  The nights victory over the Mariners captured the second conference win for the Packers and puts their record at a 2/0 in the run for the conference title.  Players who lead the Packer in  Attacks/Tips were Cecelia Crisman with 13, Ivy Heft and Hallie Snyder with 7 each.  Serving leaders include Ivy Heft with 11  followed by Ashe VandenBerg and Hallie Snyder each with 8.  Grace Evans led the team in passing with 13.   The Packer Ladies head to north this Saturday for the 2nd Annual Reed City Varsity Volleyball Invite.  There they will face off with Kingsley, Potters House and Benzie Central in pool play.  In bracket play, they could meet up with Reed City, Clare, Comstock Park, Buckley, Pine River, Lake City, Ludington or Kalkaska.  The tournament will be packed full of great volleyball.   Come out and support the Packer Ladies!  

JV Volleyball Packer Ladies traveled to Lakeview for an Invitational.   Packer Ladies faced off with Montabella at 8am and beat them in 2 sets, 25/15, 25/11.  The team played again at 12:30 but after a long break, Central Montcalm defeated the Packers in 3 sets, 25/20, 23/25 and 11//15, the loss knocked the Packers into the lower bracket of play.  Disappointment spread throughout the team so a midday team meeting and a change in shirt colors set the Packers up for a long, winning afternoon.  The ladies faced off Belding at 2:30 and defeated them in 2 sets, 25/20 and 25/16.  At 3:30 they battled with Coleman and also won the match in 2 sets with scores of 26/24 and 25/17.  At 4;00 they met up with Central Montcalm again but this time they brought the determination to win and won the match in 2 sets, 25/20 and 25/10.  At 5pm they moved into the playoff game where they met up with the undefeated North Point Christian team.  Packers battled hard and took the match in 2 sets with scores of 25/21 and 27/25.  Beating the undefeated NPC team caused a second match between the Packers and NPC at 6pm.  The Packers gave all they could until the end but unfortunately that game ended in defeat for the Packers with scores of 22/25, and 20/25 resulting in a second place overall for the day.  Leading the Packers in attacks and tips for the day were Ivy Heft with 35 , Hallie Snyder with 20, Cecelia Crisman with 20 and Kate Mellema 11.  Top servers for the day included  Ashe VandenBerg with 41, Hallie Snyder with 32, Grace Evans with 25, Ivy Heft with 23 and Cecelia Crisman with 22.  The Packers travel to Manistee on Tuesday September 12 for the second conference game match up. The Packer Ladies traveled to Ludington for a Quad with Ludington, Whitehall and Big Rapids.  The first match was with the Ludington Orioles and the Packers triumphed in 2 sets with scores of 25/15 and 25/20 securing their win for the first match.   The second match the Packers grappled with the Whitehall Vikings.  The first set was taken by Whitehall and the Packers lost with an impressive 29/30 battle, in the second set, the Packers turned up the heat and won with a score of 25/16, unfortunately, in the last set the Packers lost with a 10/15 final score that resulted in losing the match to Whitehall.  In the last match of the night, the Packers went to battle with the Big Rapids Cardinals.  The first set was back and forth between the Packers and the Cardinals but ended with a win the Packers with a 25/21 score, in the second set, the Packers and Cardinals again battled it out back and forth and the Packers were defeated and took a loss with a score of 22/25, in the third set the the Packers brought all of the grit and determination to the game and pounded the Cardinals with a 15/2 win, securing the match win.  The Packer Ladies travel to Lakeview this weekend for a 9 team tournament.  Lets go Packer Ladies!  

The JV dominated Montague in Tuesday nights match. The first game ended in a 25-9 win, the second game ended with a 25-12 win. In game one, Taylor Johnson went on a roll with 9 point serve streak that led to the victory. In the second game, Grace Evans led the team with 6 serve points and Ashe VandenBerg followed with 5 serve points.

The JV girls made their way to victory with an undefeated record for the day.
