Fremont Varsity Packers Clinches Lead in Fifth Inning to Defeat Tri County Area   Fremont Varsity Packers snagged a late lead and defeated Tri County Area 5-4 on Friday.  The game was tied at three with Fremont Varsity Packers batting in the bottom of the fifth when Logan Nelson singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.   Tri County Area opened up scoring in the first inning, when C Plotts singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.   Fremont Varsity Packers evened things up at three in the bottom of the third inning.  An error scored two runs for Fremont Varsity Packers.   Fremont Varsity Packers scored three runs in the third inning.  Brendon Maka and Gabe Vanvleet all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.   Vanvleet took the win for Fremont Varsity Packers. The righty surrendered four runs on nine hits over seven innings, striking out ten.   Lovel took the loss for Tri County Area. Late Score Costs Fremont Varsity Packers Against Tri County Area   Friday's game against Tri County Area was a heartbreaker for Fremont Varsity Packers, as they lost the lead late in a 7-5 defeat.  The game was tied at five with Tri County Area batting in the top of the eighth when T Tompkins singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.   Tri County Area opened up scoring in the first inning, when an error scored one run for Tri County Area.   In the bottom of the fifth inning, Fremont Varsity Packers tied things up at five.  Carl Vleim's sac fly scored one run for Fremont Varsity Packers.   H Figley was credited with the victory for Tri County Area. Figley allowed nine hits and five runs over eight innings, striking out one and walking zero.   Brendon Maka took the loss for Fremont Varsity Packers. Maka surrendered seven runs on 12 hits over eight innings, striking out one.   Fremont Varsity Packers collected nine hits.  Maka and David Faulkner each had multiple hits for Fremont Varsity Packers.  Faulkner and Maka each collected two hits to lead Fremont Varsity Packers.   Tri County Area tallied 12 hits in the game.  Figley, Bean, A Plotts, and Tompkins all collected multiple hits for Tri County Area.  Figley led Tri County Area with three hits in four at bats.

Fremont Varsity Packers Clinches Lead in Sixth Inning for Victory Over Whitehall   Fremont Varsity Packers defeated Whitehall 6-1 on Thursday after taking the lead late in the game.  The game was tied at one with Fremont Varsity Packers batting in the bottom of the sixth when Gabe Vanvleet singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.   In the first inning, Fremont Varsity Packers got their offense started when Vanvleet singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.   Whitehall knotted the game up at one in the top of the fifth inning.  Goodrich drew a walk, scoring one run.   Michael Baden led the Fremont Varsity Packers to victory on the mound. The pitcher went five innings, allowing one run on five hits and striking out five.  Logan Nelson threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.  Nelson recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Fremont Varsity Packers.   Vanamberg took the loss for Whitehall. The bulldog allowed ten hits and six runs over six innings, striking out five.   Fremont Varsity Packers totaled ten hits.  Baden, Carl Vleim, and Vanvleet all managed multiple hits for Fremont Varsity Packers.  Vanvleet, Vleim, and Baden each managed two hits to lead Fremont Varsity Packers.   Rithie went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Whitehall in hits.

  Fremont Varsity Packers lost the lead late in an 11-5 defeat to Whitehall on Thursday.  The game was tied at two with Whitehall batting in the top of the fifth when an error scored one run for Whitehall.   The Fremont Varsity Packers struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Whitehall, giving up 11 runs.   Whitehall fired up the offense in the first inning, when Rithie singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.   Fremont Varsity Packers knotted the game up at two in the bottom of the third inning, when Carl Vleim grounded out, scoring one run.   Fremont Varsity Packers put up three runs in the sixth inning.  Fremont Varsity Packers's big inning was driven by an error on a ball put in play by Ben Mellema and Joe Delong.   Whitehall scored four runs in the sixth inning.  Christensen and Howe all drove in runs in the frame.   Brinkent was on the hill for Whitehall. Brinkent went six innings, allowing five runs on six hits, striking out five and walking one.   Logan Nelson was on the pitcher's mound for Fremont Varsity Packers. The righthander went four and two-thirds innings, allowing two runs on two hits and striking out four.  Jonny Keena and Delong entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one and two-thirds innings and one-third of an inning respectively.   Joey Driziwiki, Delong, Hayden Threat, Nelson, Keena, and Brendon Maka each collected one hit to lead Fremont Varsity Packers.   Whitehall tallied seven hits in the game.  Rithie and Schmehil each had multiple hits for Whitehall.  Rithie led Whitehall with three hits in five at bats.  Whitehall tore up the base paths, as three players stole at least two bases. Schmehil led the way with two.

Pitching By Gabe Shuts Out Grant, Fremont Varsity Packers Takes The Win   Gabe Vanvleet didn't allow a single run as Fremont Varsity Packers defeated Grant 12-0 on Tuesday. Vanvleet allowed just three hits.   Fremont Varsity Packers was boosted by Logan Nelson who went 5-for-5 at the plate.  Nelson doubled in the first, singled in the third, singled in the fourth, doubled in the fifth, and singled in the sixth.   Fremont Varsity Packers notched four runs in the fifth inning.  Joe Delong, Nelson, Vanvleet, and Carl Vleim all drove in runs in the frame.   A single by Geers in the first inning was a positive for Grant.   Vanvleet pitched Fremont Varsity Packers to victory. The pitcher allowed three hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out 11.   Vold took the loss for Grant. The bulldog surrendered 12 runs on 15 hits over six innings, striking out one.   Fremont Varsity Packers totaled 15 hits in the game.  Nelson, Brendon Maka, Delong, and Michael Baden all collected multiple hits for Fremont Varsity Packers.  Nelson went 5-for-5 at the plate to lead Fremont Varsity Packers in hits.  Fremont Varsity Packers was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Despite Strong Fight, Fremont Varsity Packers Can't Top Spring Lake Varsity Lakers   Fremont Varsity Packers fought back after falling down by five runs in the second inning. The comeback fell just short though, in a 10-8 defeat to Spring Lake Varsity Lakers on Friday.  Fremont Varsity Packers scored eight runs in the failed comeback on a single by David Faulkner, a walk by Hayden Threat, a walk by Joe Delong, a single by Michael Baden, a single by Logan Nelson, a walk by Brendon Maka, a single by Ty Spickerman, and a single by Faulkner.   Fremont Varsity Packers was right in it until Spring Lake Varsity Lakers in the seventh inning.   Fremont Varsity Packers took an early lead in the second inning when Maka drew a walk, scoring one run.   Fremont Varsity Packers tallied eight runs in the second inning.  Fremont Varsity Packers's big inning was driven by singles by Faulkner, Baden, Nelson, Spickerman, and Faulkner and walks by Threat, Delong, and Maka.   Zach Schlepp was the winning pitcher for Spring Lake Varsity Lakers. The righty surrendered eight runs on nine hits over seven innings, striking out six.   Baden took the loss for Fremont Varsity Packers. Fremont Varsity Packers Stays Scrappy In Loss To Newaygo   Despite a 5-run deficit in the sixth inning, Fremont Varsity Packers almost came all the way back, eventually falling 9-8 to Newaygo on Wednesday.  Fremont Varsity Packers scored four runs in the failed comeback on a double by Brendon Maka, a double by Carl Vleim, and a single by Jonny Keena.   Fremont Varsity Packers fell behind early in the loss.  Newaygo scored on a single by Long in the first inning, a single by Toth in the first inning, a groundout by Christensen in the first inning, and a single by G Toth in the second inning.   Newaygo got things started in the first inning when Long singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.   Long was the winning pitcher for Newaygo. The bulldog lasted five and a third innings, allowing 12 hits and eight runs while striking out six.  McGowen threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.   Maka took the loss for Fremont Varsity Packers. With Gabe On The Mound, Fremont Varsity Packers Shuts Out Newaygo   Gabe Vanvleet threw a shutout to lead Fremont Varsity Packers past Newaygo 1-0 on Tuesday.   The pitching was strong on both sides. Vanvleet struck out 13, while McGowen sat down three.   A single by McGowen in the fourth inning was a positive for Newaygo.   Vanvleet earned the win for Fremont Varsity Packers. The righty lasted seven innings, allowing three hits and zero runs while striking out 13.   McGowen took the loss for Newaygo. The pitcher went six innings, allowing one run on six hits, striking out three and walking zero.   Michael Baden went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Fremont Varsity Packers in hits.   Newaygo was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Fremont Varsity Packers Takes Victory Over Dalton Kellogg to WIn the Kellogg Wood Bat Tournement     Fremont Varsity Packers took home a 7-2 victory over Dalton Kelllogg- 04/30/22, 12:00 PM on Saturday.   Fremont Varsity Packers pulled away for good with one run in the third inning.  In the third Joe Drzewicki singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.   Fremont Varsity Packers tallied five runs in the fifth inning.  Fremont Varsity Packers's offense in the inning came from walks by Michael Baden and Logan Nelson.   Borgman took the win for Fremont Varsity Packers. The fireballer went six innings, allowing two runs on six hits, striking out eight and walking one.   Hill was on the hill for Dalton Kellogg- 04/30/22, 12:00 PM. Nelson allowed just six hits for game one of the tournament.    Fremont Varsity Packers tallied three runs in the sixth inning.  The offensive onslaught by Fremont Varsity Packers was led by Joe Delong, Nelson, and Carl Vleim, who all drove in runs.   One bright spot for TBD- 04/30/22, 10:00 AM was a single by Gavette in the first inning.   Nelson pitched Fremont Varsity Packers to victory. The righty lasted seven innings, allowing six hits and zero runs while striking out seven.   G Snelling started the game for TBD- 04/30/22, 10:00 AM. Fremont Varsity Packers Drops Game to Big Rapids After Late Score   Fremont Varsity Packers stayed in it until the end, but Big Rapids pulled away late in a 12-2 victory on Friday.  The game was tied at two with Big Rapids batting in the bottom of the fourth when Vennix doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.   The Fremont Varsity Packers struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Big Rapids, giving up 12 runs.   Fremont Varsity Packers got things moving in the first inning, when Gabe Vanvleet singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.   Knuth was credited with the victory for Big Rapids. The hurler went five innings, allowing two runs on two hits, striking out four and walking one.   Michael Baden took the loss for Fremont Varsity Packers. The righthander lasted five innings, allowing three hits and zero runs while striking out 11.   Guilford was on the hill for Central Montcalm. The pitcher surrendered seven runs on seven hits over three innings, striking out one.  Hardy and A Johnson entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two-thirds of an inning and one-third of an inning respectively.   Michael Baden led Fremont Varsity Packers with two hits in three at bats.  Fremont Varsity Packers was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Fremont Varsity Packers Fall to Oakridge despite strong offense.    Bats were blistered on Wednesday, but Fremont Varsity Packers couldn't quite get the job done against Oakridge and lost 13-11.   In the first inning, Fremont Varsity Packers got their offense started.  Brendon Maka drove in two when Maka doubled.   Oakridge pulled away for good with ten runs in the third inning.  In the third Ethan Jozsa singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run, Caleb Osinski drew a walk, scoring one run, Corey Vanderputle singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run, Michael Baden's wild pitch allowed one run to score for Oakridge, Matt Danicek singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs, Evan Miller singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, Brody Jennings singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, and Jozsa singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.   Adrian LaNore led things off on the hill for Oakridge. The bulldog lasted one and one-third innings, allowing four hits and six runs.   Baden toed the rubber for Fremont Varsity Packers. The pitcher allowed six hits and eight runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out two.  Maka threw one and one-third innings in relief out of the bullpen.   Fremont Varsity Packers socked one home run on the day. Fremont Varsity Packers Pitches Well, But Can't Find Enough Runs in Loss to Oakridge   Both teams were strong on the mound on Thursday, but Oakridge was just a little bit stronger at the plate in a victory over Fremont Varsity Packers on Thursday. Gabe Vanvleet started the game for Fremont Varsity Packers and recorded 18 outs.   Fremont Varsity Packers lost despite out-hitting Oakridge seven to six.   One bright spot for Fremont Varsity Packers was a single by Michael Baden in the first inning.   Brody Jennings got the start for Oakridge. Fremont Varsity Packers Defeats Muskegon Catholic Central Despite Allowing 5-Run Inning   Despite allowing five runs in the fifth inning, Fremont Varsity Packers defeated Muskegon Catholic Central 15-6 on Tuesday.  Muskegon Catholic Central's big inning was driven by an error on a ball put in play by Sam Kartes and Jacob Lyonnais and a single by Nick Powell.   The base paths were crowded in this high-scoring game. Fremont Varsity Packers collected ten hits and Muskegon Catholic Central had seven.   Fremont Varsity Packers got on the board in the first inning when Fremont Varsity Packers scored one run on a stolen base.   Fremont Varsity Packers put up five runs in the seventh inning.  Michael Baden, Brendon Maka, and Owen Vandenburg all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.   Gabe Vanvleet was credited with the victory for Fremont Varsity Packers. The righty allowed three hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out eight and walking one.  Baden threw two and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.   Sam Convertini took the loss for Muskegon Catholic Central. Convertini lasted two and a third innings, allowing three hits and five runs while striking out five.   Fremont Varsity Packers racked up ten hits.  Vandenburg, Joe Delong, and Logan Nelson all managed multiple hits for Fremont Varsity Packers.  Vandenburg led Fremont Varsity Packers with three hits in three at bats.  Fremont Varsity Packers stole 12 bases during the game as three players stole more than one. Delong led the way with four.   Convertini went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Muskegon Catholic Central in hits.
