With Gabe On The Mound, Fremont Varsity Packers Shuts Out Central Montcalm

Gabe Vanvleet had all the right stuff on Wednesday for Fremont Varsity Packers, allowing zero runs and besting Central Montcalm by a score of 11-0

Fremont Varsity Packers fired up the offense in the first inning.  Joe Delong singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

One bright spot for Central Montcalm was a single by Olson in the first inning.

Vanvleet led the Fremont Varsity Packers to victory on the mound. The righthander lasted five innings, allowing three hits and zero runs while striking out 11.

Guilford was on the hill for Central Montcalm. The pitcher surrendered seven runs on seven hits over three innings, striking out one.  Hardy and A Johnson entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two-thirds of an inning and one-third of an inning respectively.

Michael Baden led Fremont Varsity Packers with two hits in three at bats.  Fremont Varsity Packers was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Logan Nelson had the most chances in the field with 11.

Olson went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Central Montcalm in hits.  Central Montcalm was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Groce made the most plays with  three.
