2024 Portage Invitational
Sunny skies low 70s some wind
 

The boys placed 8th with 369 points. Anytime you can place in the top 10 at Portage that's a good day. The course didn't run really fast today but we still had several guys turn in personal records. We also had a much better one to five split today at one minute and 10 seconds. We're heading in the right direction as the gaps are getting smaller and team continues to get faster each meet.

Carter Sherman (Sr) led the way in 49th place.  Cole (Sr) and Chase (Jr) Lowery both had a great race is turning in personal records. Mossen Green (So) and Andy Krapp (So) turned in personal records for us also. Blake Taylor (Sr) is finally feeling better after some minor injuries and illness, running a season record today. The combination of those guys' efforts is what really helped push us into the top 10.

The girls placed 25th with 639 points. Linnea Paige (Jr) lead the way with another strong performance. She placed 21st with a season record. Joelle Patten (Jr) had a strong race turning in a personal record and placing 94th. Jailyn Saum (So) had a big PR today placing 205th moving up 16 positions in the last mile. The whole girls' team had a strong last mile with all of them finishing better than what their position was at the 2 mile.
 

Two of our three runners in the boys JV race turned in PR's. Jacob Christoffersen broke the 21 minute mark while Ethan Campbell got close to cracking 23 minutes.  Both are freshman and continue to get better almost every meet. In the girls JV race Riley Chase (Sr), Alayna Bukala (So), Maddi Dunbar (So), and Ann Kausch (So) all ran personal records.
