WMC jamboree 2 at West Shore Community College

The Packers had a strong day as a team at today’s meet. The boys won with 39 points to Whitehall 57. This course is a pretty tough course. We usually figure we can run 45 to 60 seconds faster on a fast course.  Senior Cole Lowery and Junior Chase Lowery turned in outstanding races for the team today finishing third and eighth overall. Mossen Green (So) had a strong race running over 30 seconds faster than he did at the Ludington invitational a few weeks ago. Andy Krapp (So) add a breakout race running his personal record on this difficult course. It was a great team effort all the way around.

Our girls also had a fantastic race.  I saw a lot of girls improve their ability to run the downhills with speed. Juniors Linnea Paige and Joelle Patten both head break all races running almost as fast as they did on the flat and fast course at the Cougar Falcon invitational a couple Saturdays ago.  I was really impressed with senior Riley Chase, running aggressively on the down hills. Sophomore Alayna Bukala ran four minutes faster than she did at the Ludington invitational. Exchange student Anne Kausch earned her jersey by completing her first race of the season, beating her goal of 45 minutes running a 38:01. The girls placed second with 58 points, Ludington, won with 26.
