The Lady Packers traveled once again to Central Montcalm to battle with West Catholic for the Regional Championship. The Pack struggled to gain momentum against a very tough and consistent Falcon squad; losing in 3 straight sets: 16 - 25, 12 - 25 and 10 - 25.
Offensive leaders for the Pack include Kendall Barnhart and Baylah Parker, each with a service ace. Mia Clemence led our attackers with 6 kills followed by Brynna Barnhart and Taylor DeKuiper with 3 kills apiece. Brynna Barnhart had 6 assists while Lily VandenBerg had 5.
Defensively, the Pack had 40 digs, led by Parker with 12 and K. Barnhart with 11. Taylor Waite and Taylor DeKuiper each had a block.

Win: 3.00 - 2.00
The Lady Packer Varsity Volleyball traveled to Central Montcalm for the regional semi final matchup with Spring Lake. The Pack started off very well winning the first two sets 25 - 19 and 25 - 21. The next two sets were won by Spring Lake as they found some momentum to over come the 0 - 2 deficit...scores were 25 - 23 and 25 - 18. The fifth set was a back and forth battle for the W; Fremont trailed 13 - 14 but somehow managed to dig deep and score 3 needed points to walk away with the victory. It was a total team effort to get this victory this evening.
Final scores for Fremont: 25 - 19, 25 - 21, 23 - 25, 18 - 25 and 16 - 14.
Offensive leaders for the Pack include Kendall Barnhart with 5 service aces, followed by Lily VandenBerg with 3 and Mia Clemence with 2. Barnhart led with 18 kills, followed by Taylor DeKuiper with 15, and Clemence with 11. Lily VandenBerg had 23 assists while Brynna Barnhart had 22.
Defensively, the Pack had 95 digs led by Baylah Parker with 35, K. Barnhart with 16 and Avery Christoffersen with 13. DeKuiper led with 3 blocks, K. Barnhart and Taylor Waite each added a block.

The Lady Packers travelled once again to Whitehall for the District Championship match against Oakridge. After losing the first two sets, the Pack found enough grit and energy to overcome the deficit and pull off the reverse sweep to win the district crown. Final score FHS 3 Oakridge 2; sets as follows:
21 - 25, 18 - 25, 26 - 24, 25 - 12, and 15 - 10.
Offensive leaders for the Pack include Baylah Parker with 2 service aces with Kenzie Gugins, Taylor DeKuiper, Averi Zimmer and Avery Christoffersen each with an Ace. Kendall Barnhart had 13 kills followed by Taylor Waite with 11 and Mia Clemence with 10. Lily VandenBerg had 19 assists while Brynna Barnhart put up 16.
Defensively, the Pack had 100 digs during the contest. Parker led with 23, followed by K. Barnhart with 20, and Avery Christoffersen with 17. DeKuiper led with 2 blocks, followed by Waite, B. Barnhart, Clemence and Zimmer each with a block.
The Pack continue their post season venture as they travel to Stanton, Central Montcalm, to battle with an opponent from earlier in the season, Spring Lake. Go Pack!!

The Lady Packers traveled to Whitehall for the District semi final match against host school Whitehall. The Pack started the match on a hot streak winning the first set 25 - 19. The Pack suffered a setback when a player got injured and lost set 2 23 - 25. The Pack rallied back and won set 3 25 - 22. In the 4th set, the Pack lost momentum and lost 15 - 25. In the final set, the Pack regained some energy and momentum and overcall the Vikings wining 15 - 12.
Offensive leaders for the Pack include Kendall Barnhart with 4 service aces, followed by Mia Clemence and Lily VandenBerg with 3 apiece. Clemence led the offense with 19 kills, followed by Barnhart with 16. VandenBerg put up 16 assists while Brynna Barnhart added 26 assists.
On the defensive front, Baylah Parker had 20 digs while K. Barnhart added another 18. Kenzie Gugins and Avery Christoffersen each added another 9 digs apiece. Averi Zimmer had 3 blocks while B. Barnhart had 2 and Taylor DeKuiper and Taylor Waite each had a block.
The Pack will return to Whitehall for the District final match against Oakridge. Go Pack!

The Lady Packers traveled to Sparta for their last regular season tournament before District Play. The Packers defeated Greenville and Sparta and tied with. Martin during pool play. The Pack entered bracket play as the number 2 seed behind Shelby. The Packers faced Comstock Park after they defeated Martin. After defeated Comstock Park, they face a showdown with the Kent City Eagles for the championship.
After a back and forth 3 set battle, the Pack defeated the Eagles to win the Sparta tournament.
Offensive leaders for the Pack included Kendall Barnhart, Mia Clemence and Lily VandenBerg each with 8 aces. Attack leaders include Barnhart with 28 kills, Clemence with 22, Taylor DeKuiper with 20 and Taylor Waite with 17. VandenBerg had 36 assists while Brynna Barnhart had 48.
Defensively, the Pack was led by Baylah Parker with 27 digs, followed by Barnhart with 25 and Kenzie Gugins with 15. Block leaders included DeKuiper with 3 and Waite and Clemence each with 2.

The Varsity Lady Packers traveled to Hart for their last regular season matchup. The Pack conquered the Pirates in a 4 set battle with scores as follows: 25 - 17, 16 - 25, 25 - 21, 25 - 14.
Offensive leaders for the Pack include Kendall Barnhart with 5 aces, followed by Maddie Baden with 2 aces. Attack leaders included Barnhart and Mia Clemence with 10 kills apiece followed by Taylor Waite with 8. Brynna Barnhart had 18 assists while Lily VandenBerg had 16 assists.

The Lady Packer Varsity Volleyball team traveled to Manistee for a showdown at the conference tournament on Saturday. The Pack battled with 4 different conference opponents, finishing the day 2 - 2 and in 5th place at the tournament. The Pack defeated Orchard View and host Manistee while falling to Montague and Oakridge.
Scores as follows:
Fremont vs OV: 25 - 11, 25 - 7
Fremont vs. Montague: 25 - 22, 20 - 25, 9 - 15
Fremont vs. Oakridge: 16 - 25, 25 - 14, 13 - 15.
Fremont vs. Manistee: 25 - 7, 25 - 8
Offensive leaders for the Pack include Kendall Barnhart with 16 service aces, followed by Averi Zimmer with 8, and Mia Clemence, Taylor DeKuiper and Lily VandenBerg each with 6. Attack leaders include Barnhart with 23, Clemence with 21 and Taylor Waite with 13. VandenBerg had 37 assists while Brynna Barnhart had 28.

The Lady Packers hosted the Oakridge Eagles for their last home conference matchup for the season. Before the match, our 6 seniors were honored for their contributions to our volleyball program. The teams endured a hard fought battle, but when the dust settled, the Pack triumphed over the Eagles, in straight sets; 25 - 22, 27 - 25, and 25 - 20.
Offensively, the Pack were led by Kendall Barnhart with 4 service aces followed by Lily VandenBerg with 2. Attack leaders included Barnhart with 15, followed by Taylor Waite with 7, Taylor DeKuiper with 5, and Mia Clemence with 4. Maddie Baden had 100% serving average. VandenBerg put up 22 assists with Brynna Barnhart chipping in 12.
On the defensive end, Baylah Parker had 16 digs, with Kenzie Gugins having 15, Barnhart with 13 and Avery Christoffersen and VandenBerg each with 10. Waite and Averi Zimmer each had 2 blocks.
The Pack travel to Manistee for the annual conference tournament on Saturday. The Pack are now 29-12 and 5-1 in conference play. Go Pack!
Girls Varsity Volleyball vs. Ludington Area Schools

Lose: 1.00 - 3.00
The Varsity Volleyball team enjoyed parent's night celebration and hosted the Ludington Orioles in a battle of the undefeated for sole possession of the top spot in the WMC. As expected, it was a back and forth battle all night. The Pack led the entire first set, however momentum shifted in the second set as the Pack lost. The Packers gained momentum in the third and fourth sets with several lead changes but the Orioles came out on top defeating the Packers; 3 - 1.
Packer scores as follows: 25 - 17, 19 - 25, 23 - 25, 21 - 25.
Offensive leaders for the Pack include Taylor DeKuiper with 4 service aces with Baylah Parker and Averi Zimmer with 2 aces each. Maddie Baden had 100% serviing percentage tonight! Attack leaders were Mia Clemence with 14 kills and Kendall Barnhart with 12. DeKuiper and Taylor Waite each added 8 kills apiece. Brynna Barnhart had 21 assists with Lily VandenBerg chipping in 18.
Defensively, the Pack was led by Parker with 25 digs, followed by K. Barnhart with 15, Avery Christoffersen with 13 and Kenzie Gugins with 10. DeKuiper had 3 blocks.
The Pack will host Oakridge in their final conference match on October 17 before attending the conference tournament. We will be honoring our Senior volleyball players before this match.

The Lady Packers traveled to Hesperia for the 12th annual Lori Vargas Volley against violence volleyball tournament. The Pack battled against Frankfort, Walkerville and Pentwater during pool play, winning each contest without dropping a set to become the overall #1 seed in bracket play.
During bracket play, the Pack faced a scrappy Onekama team, defeating them in 2 sets with scores 25 - 22 and 25 - 22. Iin the finals, the Pack faced cross county opponent White Cloud. It was a back and forth battle during this final matchup for the Championship. The Pack eventually defeated White Cloud 2 - 1 with scores 25 - 27, 25 - 17 and 15 - 12
Offensively, the Pack had 71 service aces and 100 kills. Leading the Pack was Kendall Barnhart with 19 aces, Taylor Dekuiper added 12 aces while Baylah Parker had 11 aces. Attack leaders included Mia Clemence with 27 kills, Barnhart with 25 and Taylor Waite with 16. Brynna Barnhart and Lily VandenBerg set up the offense with 45 and 33 assists respectively.
Defensively, the Pack had 120 digs. K. Barnhart had 30 digs, followed by Parker with 28 and Avery Christoffersen with 17. Block leaders included B. Barnhart, DeKuiper, and Waite with 2 each.
The Pack host Ludington on Tuesday for a conference showdown for sole ownership of the top spot in the Lakes division. Go Pack!!

The Varsity Lady Packers traveled to Whitehall for a Lakes division conference battle. The Pack defeated the Vikings in straight sets, 25 - 18, 25 - 14, 25 - 20, to claim their first victory over Whitehall in over 4 years.
Offensively, the Pack served aggressively all night and having 11 aces; Kendall Barnhart had 3 while Baylah Parker, Taylor DeKuiper, and Averi Zimmer each added 2 apiece. Mia Clemence led all attackers with 9 kills, while Barnhart added 8 and Taylor Waite had 6. Brynna Barnhart and Lily VandenBerg each had 13 assists.
Defensively, the Pack had 42 digs; Parker led with 16 followed by Kenzie Gugins with 12 and K. Barnhart with 11. Waite and DeKuiper each had 2 blocks during the contest.

The Lady Packers. traveled to Orchard View to face the Cardinals in a conference volleyball match. The two teams played hard with Fremont earning the victory in straight sets with scores as follows: 25 - 9, 25 - 9, 25 - 15.

The Fremont Packers traveled to North Muskegon for a tri with North Muskegon and Newaygo. The Pack suffered a loss to the host school, 11 - 25, 16 - 25, but rallied and battled hard with several lead changes and ultimately defeated Newaygo in 3 sets; 25 - 16, 16 - 25 and 21 - 19.
Leading the Packers in serving were Mia Clemence and Lily VandenBerg with 3 aces each and Maddie Baden with 2. Attack leaders included Kendall Barnhart and Clemence each with 13 kills. Assist leaders included Brynna Barnhart with 14 and VandenBerg with 12.

The Lady Packer Volleyball team traveled to Newaygo for the first annual Newaygo County volleyball tournament. Fremont battled all day and became the first winner of the tournament. Here are the scores:
Fremont vs Grant: 25 - 10, 25 - 18. Fremont vs Newaygo: 27 - 25, 22 - 25, 18 - 16. Fremont vs White Cloud: 25 - 17, 23 - 25, 15 - 9. Fremont vs. Hesperia: 26 - 24, 25 - 7.
Offensive leaders for Fremont as follows:
Serving: Lily VandenBerg with 10 aces followed by Mia Clemence and Taylor DeKuiper with 6 apiece. Kendall Barnhart led attacking with 34 kills, with Clemence and Taylor Waite with 17 apiece. VandenBerg and Brynna Barnhart each had 41 assists.

The Varsity Volleyball team traveled to Big Rapids for a quad with Whitehall, Ludington and host Big Rapids. The Pack defeated Big Rapids; 25 - 19, and 25 - 21, while losing tough battles with Whitehall, 25 - 22, 23 - 25, 12 - 15, and Ludington; 24 - 26, and 23 - 25.
Offensive leaders for the Pack included Mia Clemence with 7 service aces while Baylah Parker and Taylor DeKuiper added 4 apiece. Kendall Barnhart had 20 kills while Clemence added 14 and Taylor Waite had 10. Lily VandenBerg had 26 assists while Brynna Barnhart added 25.

Leading the Pack was senior Kendall Barnhart with 20 kills, followed by Mia Clemence with 11 and Taylor DeKuiper with 7. Serving leaders included Barnhart with 4 aces, with Clemence and DeKuiper with 2 apiece. Lily VandenBerg put up 23 assists while Brynna Barnhart added 18 assists.

The Lady Packers traveled to Mona Shores for a volleyball tri this evening. The Pack battled against the Sailors, losing 13 - 25, 16 - 25 and 7 - 15, and to Whitehall 14 - 25, 21 - 25, and 15 - 10.
Offensively, the Pack was led in serving by Kendall Barnhart and Mia Clemence with 3 aces a piece. Clemence led attackers with 11 kills followed by Barnhart with 9 and Taylor DeKuiper with 3. Assists leaders were Lily VandenBerg with 12 and Brynna Barnhart with 11.
Defensively, the Pack was led by Baylah Parker with 20 digs, K. Barnhart with 14 and Kenzie Gugins with 10. Taylor Waite led with 3 blocks and DeKuiper with 2.

The Fremont Packer volleyball team hosted their annual invitational on Saturday. The Packers defeated Sparta, 25 - 19, 25 - 19, 25 - 18; and West Michigan Christian 19 - 25, 25 - 17 and 25 - 23 while losing to Plainwell 20 - 25, 25 - 22, and 14 - 25.
The Pack faced WMC again in the first round of bracket play where they lost a tough battle with the Warriors; 25 - 13, 16 - 25, 12 - 15.
Offensive leaders for the Pack were Kendall Barnhart with 15 aces, followed by Taylor DeKuiper with 9 and Baylah Parker with 5. Barnhart also led the team with 28 kills with Mia Clemence having 27 and Taylor Waite with 17. Brynna Barnhart had 46 assists while Lily VandenBerg added 35.

The Fremont Varsity Volleyball team went undefeated to win their own tournament. Leading the Pack in serving was Kendall Barnhart with 20 aces followed by Lily VandenBerg with 19. The Pack had a very balance offence with attack leaders Mia Clemence with 41 kills, Taylor DeKuiper with 36 and Taylor Waite and Barnhart each with 35. Brynna Barnhart had 61 assists with 60 from VandenBerg.
Defensively, the Pack had 152 digs led by Baylah Parker with 35, Kenzie Gugins with 24 and Avery Christoffersen with 20. Waite had 7 blocks while Barnhart, Clemence and DeKuiper each added 3.
Overall an outstanding first tournament by the Packers. The Pack are 9 - 1 to begin the season. Go Pack!

The Fremont Varsity volleyball team opened their season on the road at Spring Lake Wednesday evening. The Pack defeated Hesperia and Kent City while losing to host Spring Lake in a 3 set battle.
Leading the Pack in serving were Taylor Waite with 6 aces, Kendall Barnhart with 5 and Mia Clemence with 4. Attack leaders were Barnhart with 19 kills, Waite with 16 and Clemence with 15. Setting up the offense were Lily VandenBerg with 34 assists and Brynna Barnhart with 25.
Defensively, Avery Christoffersen had 20 digs, followed by Kenzie Gugins with 18, Barnhart and VandenBerg each with 17. Taylor DeKuiper and Waite each had 3 blocks on the evening.
The Pack host their annual First Dig tournament August 18 for what will be another great day of volleyball. Go Pack!
