The Fremont Packer volleyball team hosted their annual invitational on Saturday. The Packers defeated Sparta, 25 - 19, 25 - 19, 25 - 18; and West Michigan Christian 19 - 25, 25 - 17 and 25 - 23 while losing to Plainwell 20 - 25, 25 - 22, and 14 - 25.
The Pack faced WMC again in the first round of bracket play where they lost a tough battle with the Warriors; 25 - 13, 16 - 25, 12 - 15.
Offensive leaders for the Pack were Kendall Barnhart with 15 aces, followed by Taylor DeKuiper with 9 and Baylah Parker with 5. Barnhart also led the team with 28 kills with Mia Clemence having 27 and Taylor Waite with 17. Brynna Barnhart had 46 assists while Lily VandenBerg added 35.
Defensively, the Pack was led by K. Barnhart with 25 digs, with VandenBerg having 20 and Kenzie Gugins with 14. The Pack was led in blocking by Waite with 6 and B. Barnhart with 4.
The Pack travel to Mona Shores on Tuesday for their next contest. Go Pack.
