WMC Lakes Conf Tourney Game Summary

The Lady Packer Varsity Volleyball team traveled to Manistee for a showdown at the conference tournament on Saturday.  The Pack battled with 4 different conference opponents, finishing the day 2 - 2 and in 5th place at the tournament.  The Pack defeated Orchard View and host Manistee while falling to Montague and Oakridge.

Scores as follows:

Fremont vs OV:  25 - 11, 25 - 7

Fremont vs. Montague:  25 - 22, 20 - 25, 9 - 15

Fremont vs. Oakridge: 16 - 25, 25 - 14, 13 - 15.

Fremont vs. Manistee: 25 - 7, 25 - 8

Offensive leaders for the Pack include Kendall Barnhart with 16 service aces, followed by Averi Zimmer with 8, and Mia Clemence, Taylor DeKuiper and Lily VandenBerg each with 6.  Attack leaders include Barnhart with 23, Clemence with 21 and Taylor Waite with 13.  VandenBerg had 37 assists while Brynna Barnhart had 28.

Defensively, the Pack was led in digs by K. Barnhart with 25, followed by Baylah Parker with 20, and Kenzie Gugins with 10.  Barnhart and Waite each had a block during the tournament.

The Pack finish 3rd in the conference, tied with Whitehall.  The Packers travel to Hart for their next contest on Thursday.  Go Pack.
