Shelby traveled to Fremont to take on the Packers in the first round of district play on Thursday afternoon. Fremont got out to a quick lead just 20 seconds into the match on a goal by Killian Prewitt and assist from Gonzalo Garcia. Shelby tied the match with 20 minutes left and the score was even at halftime. Shelby scored 10 minutes into the second half and again with 15 minutes left in the match. Fremont answered with 2 minutes remaining when a ball squirted through to Prewitt's foot. The final was Shelby 3-Fremont 2. Shelby outshot Fremont 12-5. Fremont's Ben Mellema made 8 saves and Caleb Vissia added another one. Fremont ends the season 4-15-1 overall. Shelby improves to 11-9 overall and moves on to play Manistee in the second round on Monday.

The Fremont boys' soccer team traveled to Grand Rapids Covenant Christian on Thursday evening and were handled easily. Covenant Christian outshot the visitors 26-1 and finished the game with 3 minutes remaining in the match 8-0. Ben Mellema made 10 saves for Fremont while Caleb Vissia added 8 saves as well for Fremont. Covenant Christian improves to 6-9-3 overall and Fremont falls to 4-14-1.

Manistee came to Fremont to play a conference match on Wednesday evening. The visitors scored 10 minutes into the match on a Luke Smith goal. With 1 minute left in the half Rafael Goncalves added another making it 2-0 at the half. Just 30 seconds into the second half Jacob Scharp added to the lead. Jack O'Donnell and Robin Yann also got in on the route. Deagan Klimek scored Fremont's lone goal with 8 minutes to play. Manistee outshot Fremont 17-4. Ben Mellema made 10 saves for the Packers and Caleb Vissia added another 3 for the home team. Grayson Prince made 3 saves for Manistee. Fremont drops to 4-13-1 and 1-10 in the conference. Manistee improves to 14-3 overall and 9-1 in the conference.

The Fremont boys' soccer team had a conference away game in Whitehall on Monday evening. Whitehall got out to an early lead just 15 minutes into the match on a goal from Jack Houtteman. That goal stood until halftime. Whitehall netted their second goal just 25 seconds in off the foot of Corbin Vanderstelt. Fremont answered when Tee Ward gave a ball to John Vissia making it 2-1. Kyler Frees added another goal for Whitehall making it 3-1. Vanderstelt finished off the scoring with 4 minutes left on a pentalty kick. Whitehall outshot Fremont 12-6. Evan Jud made 5 saves for Whitehall and Caleb Vissia made 8 saves for Fremont. Whitehall improves to 6-6-1 overall and 5-3-1 in the conference. Fremont falls to 4-12-1 and 1-8 in the conference.

Montague traveled to Fremont Wednesday evening for a conference match up. It was a back and forth fight with Montague ending on top. Montague's Jason Raeth netted the first goal of the match 20 minutes into the game. Fremont answered just 3 minutes later when John Vissia found the foot of Killian Prewitt to knot the score at 1-1. That score stood at the half. Montague against scored first in the second half on a Packer own goal. Vissia finished his own goal from Gonzalo Gracia 15 minutes later. With 9 minutes left in the match Chris Abeig gave the Wildcats the lead on a set play from 20 yards out. The final goal of the match came with 3 minutes to play - again, an own goal by the Packers. The shots were even at 12-12. Ben Mellema made 8 saves for the Packers. Montague improves to 5-11-2 overall and 2-5-1 in the conference and Fremont falls to 4-11-1 overall and 1-7 in the conference.

The Fremont Packers traveled to Ludington for a conference match on Monday evening. Ludington got out to a quick 2-0 lead at the half on goals from Spencer Holmes and Ryan Millspaugh. Holmes and Millspaugh added two more tallies as well as Conner Wendt and Conner Rudzler. John Vissia scored Fremonts lone goal. Ludington outshot the visitors 22-2. Ben Mellema made 16 saves for the Packers who fell to 4-10-1 overall and 1-7 in the conference. Ludington improved to 14-1-1 overall and 8-0 in the conference.

The Yellow Jackets of Greenville paid a visit to the Packers for a nonconference soccer match on Thursday afternoon. Fremont got out first on a goal by Evan Roossinck but minutes later Greenville was awarded a penalty kick and knotted the match. Greenville scored the next goal but Fremont's Justin Guanga tied it up again. With 30 seconds left in the first half Greenville pulled in front for good. It was 3-2 at the half. Greenville added two more goals in the second half making the final 5-2 in favor of the visiting team. Greenville outshot the Packers 12-7. Ben Mellema made 7 saves in net for Fremont. Fremont drops to 4-9-1 overall while Greenville improves to 7-3 overall.

The Hart Pirates destroyed the Packers in soccer on Wednesday evening. The final score was 9-1. Bryce Jorissen scored 4 goals, Guillermo Ortega added 3, and Emmanuel Ortega and Tony Rayo added single goals. John Vissia scored the Packers lone goal. The halftime score was 3-1. Hart outshot Fremont 18-8. Ben Mellema made 7 saves for the Packers and Caleb Vissia made the other 2. Ryan Clark made 7 saves for the Pirates. The Shelby Tigers crushed the Fremont Packers Monday afternoon in boys' soccer winning 9-1. Carson Claeys and Alan Arriola both had 3 goals a piece, Mason Garcia added two of his own, and Zachary Horton chipped in one as well. Fremont's Tee Ward had the lone Packer goal. The score was 5-0 at the half. Shelby outshot Fremont 18-6. Ben Mellema made 6 saves in net for the Packers and Caleb Vissia made the other 2 saves. Israel Valzez made 5 saves for the Tigers. Shelby improved to 6-8 overall and 3-2 in the conference. Fremont fell to 4-7-1 overall and 1-4 in the conference.

The Muskegon Big Reds boys' soccer team traveled to Fremont Friday afternoon for a non-conference matchup. Fremont put the game away early, scoring 8 goals by halftime. John Vissia scored two goals for the Packers while Deagan Klimek, Killian Prewitt, Evan Roossinck, Ben Mellema, Jude Fair, and Tee Ward all had single goals. Ward added 3 assists, Klimek added 2 assists, Prewitt, Joey Mansfield, and Carter Rottman chipped in single assists. Fremont outshot Muskegon 20-0. Fremont improved to 4-6-1 overall while Muskegon dropped to 0-7.

North Muskegon's Max Lasser netted the first and third goal of the match while teammate Brandon Winter drove home the 2nd goal. Fremont's Killian Prewitt answered on a head ball goal just before the half making it 3-1 in favor of North Muskegon. North Muskegon scored again in the second half when Dayllyn Ellis found the back of the net. That score stood as Fremont was defeated 4-1. North Muskegon outshot the Packers 13-4. Fremont keeper Caleb Vissia made 4 saves in net in the first half and Ben Mellema made 5 saves in the second half. Fremont falls to 3-6-1 overall and 1-3 in the conference while North Muskegon improves to 4-7-2 and 2-1-1 in the conference.

Fremont traveled to Ravena on Monday evening to take on the Bulldogs in conference action. Ravena's Vaugh Luce scored just 3 minutes into the match giving the home team the lead. Fremont's Gonzalo Garcie answered on a set play goal from Deagan Klimek to knot the score at 1-1. With 10 minutes to go before the half Hunter Hogan finished a penalty kick. The 2-1 advantage held for Ravena until halftime. Ravena's Vaugh Luce scored again early in the second half giving the Bulldogs a 3-1 lead. Killian Prewitt of Fremont buried a head ball goal with 18 minutes left for draw the visitors closer but they simply weren't able to finish again. Ravena outshot Fremont 7-6. Ben Mellema made 2 saves in net for the Packers in the first half and Caleb Vissia made 2 saves in net for Fremont in the second half. Fremont drops to 3-5-1 overall and 1-2 in the conference while Ravena improves to 2-4 overall and 1-2 in the conference.

Muskegon Orchard View traveled to Fremont on Wednesday afternoon to play a conference match against the Packers. Fremont got on the board first when Killian Prewitt finished a ball from Tee Ward making the score 1-0. Prewitt struck again just 2 minutes later when Gonzalo Garcia slotted him the ball. Fremont took a 3-0 lead when Joey Mansfield found Deagan Klimek's head with 9 minutes remaining in the first half. Orchard View answered however with just 2 minutes left in the half on a Corbin Russell goal. It was 3-1 at the half. The match was back and forth in the second half and OV lessened the gap one more time again on a Russell finish. Both teams had chances in the last 7 minutes but couldn't finish. Fremont outshot OV 17-6. Ben Mellema made 4 saves in net for the Packers. Brandon Todd ended with 14 saves for the visitors. Fremont improved to 3-4-1 overall and 1-1 in the conference. OV fell to 1-7 overall and 0-3 in the conference.

Oakridge and Fremont played a West Michigan conference match at Fremont on Wednesday evening. Oakridge outplayed and outshot the home team 17-6. Arturo Romero was virtually unstoppable as he netted 3 goals in the first half and 3 more in the second. The score was 3-0 at the half and 6-1 was the final. Fremont's Gonzalo Garcia made the Packers only goal on an assist by Justin Guanga. Fremont keeper Caleb Vissia made 5 saves in net in the first half and Ben Mellema made 6 in the second. The Cardinals of Big Rapids traveled down to Fremont for a non-conference match-up in boys' soccer. It was a back and forth event as the score remained even at the halfway point 0-0. Fremont struck first 5 minutes into the second half as Deagan Klimek crossed a ball to Killian Prewitt who finished on a volley. Big Rapids answered with 23 minutes to play when Owen Gammons broke free and finished a breakaway. Just 30 seconds later Gammons had another breakaway making the score 2-1 in favor of Big Rapids. Fremont knotted the match at 2-2 with 18 minutes to play when John Vissia finished a ball from Trent Buitendorp. That score stood and the match was a draw. Big Rapids outshot Fremont 8-7. Fremont's goalkeeper Caleb Vissia made 6 saves in net while Big Rapids' keeper Brock Smith made 5 saves for the Cardinals. Fremont moved to 2-3-1 overall and Big Rapids moved to 2-3-1 overall as well.

The Packers had a rough go of it on Saturday afternoon as they playing in a tournament in Kenowa Hills. The first match saw the Packers battling the Grant Tigers. Grant scored the only two goals of the first half making the halftime score 2-0. Lucas Zanetti and Ian Otis netted those goals for the Tigers. The second half started out much the same way with Zanetti scoring again making it 3-0 for Grant. With minutes minutes left in the match Fremont final scored when John Vissia assisted a goal to Deagan Klimek. Just minutes later Tee Ward made the game 2-3 on a set play goal. Vissia knotted the game with 6 minutes left on an assist from Ben Mellema. With just 4 minutes left a penalty kick was awarded to Grant and Otis hit the game-winner. The final score was 4-3. Fremont out shot Grant 12-9. Packer keepers Ben Mellema made 6 saves in net and Caleb Vissia made 3 saves. Grant keeper Cristian Zacharias made 9 saves.
Fremont next played Kenowa Hills. Kenowa netted 6 goals in the first 8 minutes of the match and 1 four minutes later to put the home team up 7-0. Peyton Mull had a hat trick, Caden Stoepher, Andy Mendez-Reyes netted two a piece. Fremont's Jude Fair scored Fremont lone goal. Kenowa Hills outshot Fremont 14-10. Ben Mellema made 3 saves in net and Caleb Vissia made 4 saves in net for the Packers.
Fremont sank to 2-3 overall and Kenowa Hills improved to 5-0-1 overall.

Fremont and Newaygo played a nonconference match on Thursday afternoon in Fremont. Fremont took the lead when Deagan Klimek found Joey Mansfield for the first goal of the match. The Packers built their lead when Mansfield passed a ball to Justin Guanga who finished it making it 2-0. Newaygo's Alex Hall answered just 2 minutes later to make the score 2-1 at the half. Fremont scored first in the second half when John Vissia chipped a ball to the head of Klimek making it 3-1. Newaygo's Hall added one more with 10 minutes left in the match from Jonathan Bishoff. That score stood as Fremont won 3-2. Fremont outshot Newaygo 12-4. Fremont's Ben Mellema made 2 saves in net and Newaygo's Pablo Echavarria made 9 saves for the visitors. Fremont improved to 2-1 overall and Newaygo fell to 2-2.

Hudson Pant scored 4 goals for the home team, while Conner Hunt, Logan Johnson, Gavin Mactarish, and Muris Gafurovie all added single goals. Cedar outshot Fremont 25-2. Ben Mellema made 12 saves in net for Fremont and Caleb Vissia made an additional 5 saves. Ian Klenk made 2 saves for the Red Hawks. The Packers opened the 2022 fall soccer season with a match up against Tri-County Thursday afternoon. Fremont scored early and often and ended up beating the visitors 9-1. Deagan Klimek and Killian Prewitt both had hat tricks while John Vissia, Justin Guanga, and Evan Roossinck each had single goals. Tee Ward, Ben Mellema, Guanga, and Vissia also had assists. Fremont outshot Tri-County 18-3. Fremont moves to 1-0 overall and Tri-County fell to 0-2.
