WHITEHALL HIGH SCHOOL: 2
The Packers traveled to Whitehall Thursday evening to face the Vikings in a non-conference match. The Vikings came out strong and netted a goal 20 minutes into the match. Julian Pruett score the lone goal of the first half. Whitehall outshot Fremont 8-0 in the first half. The Packers finally woke up in the second half and battled for the last 40 minutes. Pruett netted his second goal with just 14 minutes left. Fremont responded on a David Wachter pentalty kick with 6 minutes remaining but the Packers couldn't tie the game. Fremont outshot Whitehall 8-5 in the second half. Overall, the Vikings outshot the Packers 13-8. Joe Kortge made 11 saves for Fremont while Sam Stevens made 7 saves for Whitehall. Whitehall improves to 4-4 while Fremont drops to 6-3.
