The Packers had a non-conference match against Reed City at AJ's Event Center in Evart. The boys were faced with a new challenge of bowling on wooden lanes and an oil pattern they have not used. Their struggles began early during the baker games losing the first game by 31 pins and the next game by 75, going down 10 - 0 after the baker set. The continued to make adjustments to the unfamiliar conditions and would come back strong winning the first regular game 927 - 763 and the next game 860 - 704. They would lose only 1 point after the bakers, taking the match 19 - 11. The team was led by Gavin Payne with games of 213 and 196, Ian Berry had a 203, and Luke Stitt added a 192.
