West Michigan Track Invitational (All-Star Meet) Three girls qualified for the West Michigan Track Invitational tonight at Reeths Puffer High School. Linnea Paige ran the 1600 and the 3200. The top 6 places earn medals. Linnea finished 8th in the 1600 running 5:31.03 and 6th in the 3200 just a second off her PR running 11:59.19. Victoria Ekkel was 10th in the 100 with a time of 13.48. WMC – Championship Meet The girls finished 6th in the conference. I am so proud of these girls! They work hard and stay positive even though we can’t fill every event. WMC – Fremont vs Oakridge Fremont 52 Oakridge 76 The girls had a great night at Oakridge. We had many new personal records tonight, a few outstanding performances were:  Our 4x400 team with an impressive PR - Liv Stroven running hard, Rachel Maddox battling the race to come in ahead of her competitor, Holly Stariha surprising herself with how well she can run a 400 and Victoria Ekkel giving it everything she had at the end of the race to finish a close 2nd to Oakridge. Ivy Delo had an awesome PR in the 800! Linnea Paige set a new PR in the 3200-running solo. We are a small team, but the girls on it work hard and never give up! I am so proud of them. Kent City- The girls continue to work hard and improve. Linnea Paige finished 3rd in the 3200 with an impressive 12:03.01 and 9th in the 1600 running 5:32.33. Joelle Patten and Rocquel Richards push each other to keep improving in the 1600. The girls did not run a full team today due to several injuries. The girls that competed did a great job. The 4x400 team of Victoria Ekkel, Rachel Maddox, Joelle Patten and Rocquel Richards ran hard to beat Ludington in the final steps. Linnea Paige won the 3200 with a big PR of 12:13.20. Fruitport Invitational – The girls had a great night in Fruitport! They finished 7th out of 9 teams with many personal records. It was a fun meet with co-ed relays. The top 6 individual events earned medals. Linnea Paige finished 2nd in the 3200 and 3rd in the 1600, Rachel Maddox was 4th in high jump, Ariana Tanner was 4th in long jump and Arie Beecham was 5th in discus. The girls track team represented Fremont very well today at GVSU. A few highlights from the meet: Linnea Paige (Fr) finished 16th in the 1600 with a 5:49.16.
