The Fremont Junior Varsity Baseball team fell behind early in the game this Friday and couldn't come back. The game ended in a 12-6 loss to North Muskegon Norsemen JV, with the loss coming despite out-hitting North Muskegon six to four. Fremont got things started in the first inning when Blake Zerlaut drove in one on a single. Fremont did score three runs in the seventh inning, with Chase Mercer and Lucas Carrier hammering in 2 RBIs. Mason Sparks took the loss for Fremont, going one and one-third innings, allowing seven runs on one hit and striking out three. Fremont saw the ball well today, racking up six hits, with Blake Zerlaut and Mason Sparks managing multiple hits. Fremont did tear up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases, with Caleb Vissia leading the way with three.
