Fremont Varsity Baseball Falls After Strong Showing by Fruitport

Fremont's varsity baseball team struggled to keep pace with Fruitport, resulting in a 13-2 defeat on Friday at Marsh Field.

Owen Vanderstelt took the loss for the Packers. The starting pitcher lasted two and one-third innings, allowing eight runs (seven earned) on five hits, while striking out three and issuing six walks.

On offense, Luke Langley, Luke DeLong, and Brayden Crosley each managed to secure a hit for Fremont. Defensively, the team executed one double play during the game.

Fremont will look to bounce back in their next game against White Cloud on Saturday in the Newaygo County Tournament.
