Girls Freshman Volleyball vs. Montague High School

The Fremont Packers emerged victorious in a thrilling three-set match against the Montague Wildcats, with a final score of 2-1. Both teams showcased their skills and determination, but the Packers managed to clinch the win in the decisive third set. 

The opening set was a tight battle. While the Packers started off strong, the Wildcats caught up to the Packers lead. The Packers and Wildcats traded points and in crucial moments, Fremont's Addison Huck stepped up with several key kills, helping to edge out the Wildcats 26-24. 

Montague responded in the second set with a more aggressive approach. Their consistent serves and strong net play put pressure on Fremont, forcing them into errors. Despite a strong effort from the Packers, Montague took the set 25-23, leveling the match at 1-1. 

The third set was a nail-biter, with both teams refusing to give in. It came down to the wire, but the Pack managed to secure a narrow 16-14 victory. 

Individual Highlights:

Addison Huck (Fremont Packers): Huck was a stand out performer with 8 kills, providing the offensive firepower the Packers needed in crucial moments.

Kelly Bergstedt (Fremont Packers): Bergstedt made a significant impact from the service line, recording 3 aces that helped swing the momentum in Fremont's favor.

Riley Derks (Fremont Packers): Derks had an impressive defensive display, finishing with 11 digs, contributing to the team's strong back row performance.

Girls Freshman Volleyball defeated the Mona Shores Sailors this afternoon. The team came together to beat the Sailors 25-19 in the first set and had a tight 26-24 finish in the second. Kelly Bergstedt led the Packers with 4 kills at the net, followed by single kills from Addison Huck, Delaney Petrowski, Avery Goff, Kamryn Clark and Rosi Lake. Throughout the two matches, Fremont provided a tough serving game with 12 combined Aces from Addison Huck, Delaney Petrowski, Riley Derks, Kelly Bergstedt, Kam Clark and Aryah Nelson. Clark and Nelson both contributed 4 aces each to the Pack. Defensively, Fremont was led in digs by Riley Derks, with 9 passes to target. Following her was Addison Huck, Kayley Frens, Kamryn Clark, Kelly Bergstedt, Aryah Nelson and Soriah Gordon. Breven Powell and Tessa Niblick also provided to the Packers success with great passes and communication.
