Girls Varsity Softball vs. Reed City High School

Win: 11 - 10
Fremont Packers defeated Reed City Coyotes 11-10 in the first game of the double header match up. Fremont was down 8-7 in the top of the sixth inning when Izabel Austin tripled scoring two runs. Fremont racked up 19 hits in the game. Maddie Baden, Sage Vandenberg, Mckenzie Gusins, Rainee Dey-Rayl, Baylah Parker and Elise Pfeiffer all manged multiple hits for the Packers. Baden led teh Packers with five hits at 5 at bats.
Reed City took the second game 10-0. Fremont's bats fell of the radar with only 5 hits in the second game with Reed City collecting 10 hits. Isabell Guy got the win for Reed City allowing zero runs on five hits and striking out five over six innings.
Fremont takes on Grant for the Pre-District game on Tuesday at Fremont Varsity Field.

Win: 11 - 1
Fremont Packers took both conference match up games again Orchard View Cardinals tonight winning the first game 11-1 and the second 17-2.
In the first game Savannah Keur doubled scoring two runs in the first, with Elise Pfeiffer and Maddie Baden collecting RBI's in the third inning. Sophia Romine, Keur and Mckenzie Gugins each collected multiple hits for the Packers.
Sophia Romine got the W on the mound surrendering only one run on five hits, striking out seven and walking zero.
E Jennings Led Orchard View with two hits in three at bats during the game
Gugins wasted no opportunities at the plate, during the second game, driving in four runs on three hits. Gugins drove in runs on two singles and a home run. The Packers went up nine runs in the second inning with Baylah Parker, Gugins, Keur, Elise Pfeiffer, Sage Vandenberg and Baden, all driving in runs in the frame.
Fremont collected 13 hits in the game and Orchard View had 7 hits. A Cook and A Fisher each racked up multiple hits for Orchard view in the loss.
Sophia Romine got the W on the mound.
Girls Varsity Softball vs. Holland Christian High School

Win: 4 - 0
Sophia Romine didn't allow a single run in as Fremont Packers defeated Holland Christian Marroons 4-0. Romine only allowed 4 hits in the game with 4 strikeouts. Elise Pfeiffer scored one run on a double in the first to get Fremont on the board. Fremont's defense didn't commit one error in the gam. Savannah Keur had six chances in the field, the most on th team. Pfeiffer led the Packers with two hits in two at bats. Kierea Smiths went 2-3 at the plate to lead Holland Christian.
Fremont fell in the second game 6-5 despite out hitting them. Averi Zimmer had a sacrifice bunt in the bottom of the second inning to tie the game up. Holland Christian took the lead in the 3rd and held on till the end. Keur and Maddie Baden collected multiple hits for the Packers.
Girls Varsity Softball vs. Tri-County High School

Win: 7 - 6
A walk-off single by Mckenzie Gugins in the 7th propelled the Packers to victory 7-6 over Tri-County in the first game. Gugins went 3 for 3 at the plate to lead Fremont in hits. Sophia Romine, Savannah Keur both had multiple hits for the Packers during the game. Tri County racked up 14 hits on the night with Fremont only hitting 8. Oldham, Williams and Stiessmar al manged multiple hits for Tri-County.

Sage Vandenberg and Maddie Baden collected multiple hits for Fremont. The Packers finished with 12 hits and Tri-County had 10 hits in the game.
Girls Varsity Softball vs. Morley Stanwood HS

Thank you to everyone who came out and watched the Fremont Packers take on Morley Stanwood under the lights last night for our Annual Pink out game. It was a great success and both teams had a blast playing in the game.
Four runs batted in by Mckenzie Gugins, including a triple, helped lead the Fremont Packers past Morley Stanwood 16-9 in the first game of a double header.
Morley Stanwood scored 5 runs in the first inning with singles by Martin and Griffes. Fremont scored 9 runs in the 3rd inning with a double by Savannah Keur, Triple by Izabel Austin and single by Elise Pfeiffer. Fremont had 13 hits during the game. Sophia Romine got the win on the mound.
Fremont tallied 17 hits in the night game under the lights. Sage Vandenberg went 4 for 4 at the plate with 3 singles and a double. Pfeiffer, Maddie Baden, Baylah Parker, Hanna Melo, and Izabel Austing each had multiple hits for the Packers.
Biller went 3 for 5 at the plate to lead Morley Stanwood in hits. Morley Stanwood didn't commit a single error on the field in the second game.
Gugins got the win on the mound.

Lose: 3 - 11
Fremont Packer watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in an 11-3 loss to Holton Red Devils. Holton Scored 4 runs in the sixth inning. K Greene earned the win for Holton. Mckenzie Gugins led the Packers with 3 hits in 4 at bats. Holton out hit Fremont 13-7 in the game.
In the night cap wa s a very tight game, but Holton Pulled out the 8-7 victory. Holton was down 6-5 in the top of the seventh inning when E Monehe doubled on the first pitch at bat scoring two runs. A wild pitch put the Red Devils up 8-6 going into the bottom of the 7th. Fremont battled back scoring one run with a sacrifice fly by Baylah Parker.
Mckenzie Gugins lead the packers with 3 hits in 5 at bats. Savannah Keur, and Elise Pfeiffer both collected a pair of hits on the day.
R Robbins for Holton lead the team with 3 hits in 4 at bats for the night cap.
Fremont Plays Morley Stanwood Sat night (5-13-23) for the Pink out game under the lights at Branstorm Park. First game of the double header starts at 6pm.

Win: 11 - 1
Fremont Packers scored six runs in the first inning on its way to an 11-1 victory over Ludington in the first game. The Packers had a little later start with the bats in the second game but still ended up taking it 11-1.
In the first game, Rainee Dey-Rayl hit a home run in the first inning with hits from Izabel Austinn and Sophia Romine. Mckenzie Gugins went 3 for 3 at the plate to lead the Packers with hits. Gugins also had two stolen bases. Fremont overall racked up 13 hits on the game.
Romine got the win on the mound for the first game.
Fremont scored 6 runs in the fifth inning. Dey-Rayl, Savannah Keur, and Hadley Whitaker powered the inning with RBI's. The packers totaled 10 hits in the game. Sage Vandenberg, and Keur manged multiple hits for the Packers.
Gugins took the win on the mound for the second game.

Girls Varsity Softball vs. Newaygo High School

Lose: 6 - 17
Fremont & Newaygo where both on the opposite ends of a 10 run rule tonight. Fremont took game one 15-5 and Newaygo took game two 17-6. Fremont out hit Newaygo 11 to 6 in the first game Lead by Elise Pfeiffer and Rainee Dey-Rayl both with multiple hits. Pfeiffer and Mckenzie Gugins both hit a triple in the game.
Errors gave the game to Newaygo early in the the second game and the Packers couldn't recover. Savannah Keur and Gugins collected multiple hits for the Packers. Newaygo out hit Fremont 13-8 in the event, but the 7 errors was to costly to come back from.
Girls Varsity Softball vs. Montague High School

Lose: 18 - 19
The Fremont Packers split the night wth the Montague Wildcats. The Wildcats took the first game 19-18. Fremont had a 11-0 lead in the 3rd when Montague battled back and took the game. Fremont had 12 errors during the game to help Montague get back in the game. Fremont did out hit Montague with 19-14 during the game. Rainee Dey-Rayl it a double in the first scoring one run. Mckenzie Gugins went 4 out of 4 with a single in the fourth, sixth and seventh inning with a Home Run hit in the second inning. Hanna Mele, Elise Pfeiffer, Sage Vandenberd, and Izabel Autin each had RBI"s in the sixth inning.
Montague had a huge sixth inning scoring 9 runs. Kiara Mikkelsen, Kennedy Jonhson, Regan Cederquist, Natalie Kellogg, Kayden Jonson and Chloe Boutell, all drove in runs that inning.
Kellog took the win for Montague.
Second game Fremont took 12-1. Fremont pulled away for good with three runs in the second inning. Baylah Parker doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run and Elise Pfeiffer singled scoring one run. Fremont racked up 13 hits in the game. Vandenberg, Dey-Rayl, Romine, Izabel Austin and Gugins all managed multiple hits for the packers. Fremont also stole six bases during the game.
Kennedy Jonson went 2 for 2 at the plate to lead Montague Wildcats.
Girls Varsity Softball vs. Oakridge High School

Lose: 1 - 16
Even though the girls made contact with the ball the Lady Packers couldn't find the open part of the field against a great Oakridge Eagles team. Oakridge took both games yesterday 16-0 and 16-1.
Next game is Friday against Ravanna Bulldogs in Ravanna. Start time 4:00pm

Win: 11 - 3
Fremont Packers brought the Thunder, before mother nature did with 23 hit showing against the Spring Lake Lakers today. Elise Pfeiffer did them no favors by picking up five hits over five at bats and leading the Packers to a 11-3 win. Pfeiffer singled in the first, second, third, fifth, and seventh inning. Rainee Dey-Rayl collected a two run blast in the second inning.
Pfeiffer, Dey-Rayl, Sage Vandenberg, Savannah Keur, Izabel Austin, Mckenzie Gugins, and Sophia Romine each had multiple hits for the Packers.
Sophia Romine was credited with the victory for the Packers only allowing 3 hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out six.
Alexa Carter went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Spring Lake in hits.
Girls Varsity Softball vs. Hesperia Senior HS

Win: 18 - 3
Varsity Packer Softball team took on Hesperia Panthers tonights in an non conference double header. Winning both games in under 5 innings. Fremont took the first game 18-3 in 4 innings and 19-2 in 5 innings for the second game.
Fremont collected 17 hits in the first game with Mckenzie Gugins clutch at the plate driving in 4 runs on a single in the third and a triple in the fourth. Rainee Dey-Rayl, Savannah Keur, Elise Pfeiffer and Sage Vandenberd powered the big 4 inning with RBI's
Fremont opened up scoring in the first inning for the second game, when Savannah Keur singled scoring two runs. The Packers talled 8 runs in the fifth inning. Hitting was lead by Elise Pfeiffer, Izabel Austin, Hanna Melo, Gugins, Ava Cook, and Maddie Baden, all driving in runs.
Gugins pitched the second game only surrendered two runs on two hits over fine innings, striking out 8.
Fremont take on Oakridge tomorrow in a big Conference matchup. Game time 4:15 Home.
Girls Varsity Softball vs. Multiple Opponents

Saturdays tournament didn't quite go the way the Lady Packers wanted to. In game one the Lady Packers out hit Kent City 10-4 leaving many base runners stranded. A costly error gave Kent City the two runs they needed to beat the Packers 4-3. Sage Vandenberg, Maddie Baden and Elise Pfeiffer each managed multiple hits for the Packers.
Game two saw the Lady Packers take on the Cedar Springs Red Hawks. Fremont stayed in it until the end but the Red Hawks pulled away late with an 8-4 win. Elise Pfeiffer and Izable Austin each collected multiple hits for the packers with Austin hitting a triple in the bottom of the 2nd.
The girls all played hard the whole day with Sophia Romine pitching 12 1/2 innings on the hot day.
The next game is home on Tuesday the 18th vs Hesperia with a 4:15pm start time.

Fremont Packers won both conference games against the Manistee Mariners tonight. Sophia Romine got the win in the first game 15-0 in 3 innings and Mackenzie Gleason got the win in the second game 21-0 in 3 innings.
Savannah Keur had 8 RBI's on the night, with an 100% on base percentage for both games. Gleason, Keur and Sage Vandenberg had triples in the second game.

Fremont Varsity Packers watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 10-0 loss to Reeths-Puffer Varsity on Tuesday.
Sophia Romine was in the circle for Fremont Varsity Packers. The righty surrendered five runs on six hits over three and a third innings, striking out four. Mckenzie Gleason threw one and one-third innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Gleason, Elise Phiffer, Savannah Keur, and Sage Vandenberg each collected one hit to lead Fremont Varsity Packers.
