Girls Varsity Softball vs. Reed City High School

Lose: 1 - 13
Fremont Lady Packers split tonight against Reed City. First game Reed City won 13-1 with to many errors by the Packers on the field, for their bats to catch up with.
A walk-off single by Sage Vandenberg secured the win against Reed City during the second game in extra innings 17-16. Fremont totaled 16 hits in the game. Vandenberg, Savannah Keur, Haley Zerlaut, Madeline Baden and McKenzie Gugins each collected multiple hits for the Packers. Zerlaut, Keur, and Vandenberg collected three hits to lead the Pac during this game.
Thank you to all the seniors for there last home game tonight. Our work isn't done yet but thank you for everything.

Girls Varsity Softball vs. Chippewa Hills High School

Win: 11 - 10
the Lady Packers won both games tonights against Chippewa Hills. The Pac won the first game 11-10 and the second game 18-7.
The first game the Lady Pack jumped to an early lead, but the Warriors battled back to tie the game up in the 6th. Top of the 7th Mckenzie Gugins hit a home run to put the Packers up by 1 and defense finished the game. Maddie Baden also hit a home run in the game with Laney Sipos and Rainee Dey-Rayl hitting doubles.
The lady Pac collected 14 hits in the second game. The Lady Pack put up six runs in the sixth inning. Laney Sipos, McKenzie Gugins, and Savannah Keur, and Haley Zerlaut contributed in the big inning. Laney Sipos went long in the sixth inning with her first home run of the season.
Haley Zerlaut go the win in both games for the Packers.
Girls Varsity Softball vs. Montague High School

Win: 13 - 6
The Varsity Packer Softball Team won both game tonight against Montague Wildcats. Fremont won the first game 13-6. The Lady Pac tallied five runs in the fifth inning. Mckenzie Gugins, Haley Zerlaut and Savannah Keur powered the big inning with RBIs. Haley Zerlaut got the win on the mound striking out six while going 4 for 4 at the plate to lead the Packers in hits.
The Lady Pac won the second game 18-16. During the second game Madeline Baden led the Lady Pac to victory by driving in five runs. Baden went 3-6 at the plate driving in runs on a double in the second and single in teh fourth. Mari Vanbuskirk doubled scoring two runs and McKenzie Gugins scored two RBI's with a single. The Lady Pac won the game as a team, as Injuries added up during this game. Many players stepped into roles they are not use to and didn't disappoint. Well done ladies.

Hot one on the ball field tonight. The Fremont Lady Packers faced Tri County Vikings in a douible hearder tonight winning both games. First game they won 13-2 and the second game 17-2.
In the first game Fremont scored 7 runs in the second inning with Sage Vandenberg, McKenzie Gugins, Trinity Zerlaut and Sydney Dunbar each getting RBI's in the inning. Haley Zerlaut got the win for the Packers at the mound.
The Second game Fremont collected 11 hits. Madeline Baden collected 2 hits in the game and had 4 on the night. Sophia Romine collected the win on the mound.

Win: 6 - 5
Fremont Lady Packers split tonight with Grant in the double header. Fremont won the first game 6-5. Savannah Keur hit a home run that tied the game. Sage Vandenberg then hit a double to drive in the winning run in the 7th inning. Fremont had 13 hits. Sydney Dunbar and Kuer manged to have 3 hits in the game.
The second game didn't go so well. Fremont only had 5 hits.
We play at Oakridge on Thursday and back home on Friday.

Fremont lost both games tonight against Newaygo. 12-1 first game and 12-10 second game. The Lady Pack didn't bring there bats with them in the first game and a few key errors didn't help.
During the second game the ladies played a lot better. The Lady Packers left too many runners stranded, but collected 16 hits. Savannah Keur and Laney Sipos both collected 3 hits at 4 at bats with Sidney Dunbar, Sage Vandenberg, Haley Zerlaut, and Trinity Zerlaut collecting two hits.

Fremont Lady Packers faced Multiple opponents during the Holland Tournament on 4-30-22. Lost the first game 10-0 to Wayland. All 10 runs where erned by Wayland, with the Lady Packers committing 0 errors during this game.
The Lady Packers lost the second game to Niles 18-1. Fremont only had 4 hits during the game. Madeline Baden and Haley Zerlaut both had two hits during the game.
Fremont was working on a comeback against Holland Christian before the game was called due to rain. Lost 11-5. Madeline Baden added a single and a double in the game, with Laney Sipos, Sydney Dunbar, Rainee Dey-Rayl, and Sophia Romine collecting one hit.
Next game is on 5-3-22 home against Newaygo.

Fremont Lady Packers lost both games tonight against Central Montcalm County. Fremont collected 9 hits in the first game but it wasn't enough to overcome the errors made on the field along with some well hit balls by Central Montcalm. Sage Vandenberg and Rainee Dey-Rayl collected multiple hits in the first game loss.
Fremont collected 11 hits in the second game with Maddie Baden, Savannah Keur, Haley Zerlaut, and Sydney Dunbar collecting multiple hits. Zerlaut had 3 hits with 3 at bats. The girls never gave up in the second game making a complete 360 from the first game and brought the energy. Lost close 11-10.

The Packer Varsity Team had a tough match up against Big Rapids tonight. Losing the first game 0-10 and the second game 1-16. The girls never gave up the fight and continued to battle in both games. The Lady Packers just couldn't get there bats working tonight against a great pitcher.

The Fremont Packers seized a victory, 6-5 in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off double by Sydney Dunbar in the 8th inning. Haley Zerlaut took the win, striking out 12 batters. McKenzie Gugins and Madeline Baden both collected a couple hits for the Packers. Baden also added 2 stolen bases during the game.
The Packers had everything working for them during the second game of the double header winning 13-0. Sophia Romine earned the win only allowing 2 hits and zero runs over 5 innings. Sydney Dunbar, Laney Sipos, Sophia Romine, Madeline Baden, and McKenzie Gugins each collected multiple hits for the Packers. Dunbar led the Packers with three hits. The Packers where also sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error.
