Girls JV Volleyball vs. Multiple Opponents

The Lady JV Packers hosted Holton, Montague and Ludington for another great night of volleyball.  The Pack defeated Holton and Ludington and lost a very competitive tough battle with Montague. Offensively, the Pack had 37 Aces and 43 kills on the evening.  Ace leaders included Lily Vandenberg with 13, Avery Christoffersen with 8, Nat Storms with 6, Kendall Barnhart with 5, Lily Kate Christoffersen and Baylah Parker with 2, and Khloe Callison with an Ace.  Attack leaders included Taylor Waite with 13 kills, Mackenzie Gleason and LK Christoffersen with 9 kills, Barnhart with 7 kills, A. Christoffersen with 2 kills, and Bree Contreras with a kill. Defensively, the Pack had 78 digs.  Leaders included A. Christoffersen with 30 digs, Barnhart with 12, and Parker with 7.  Gleason added 3 blocks. The Pack are now 30-9-1 and travel to Grant next Thursday for their final contest of the season.  Go Pack!

The Lady JV Packers defended their home court Tuesday evening against the visiting Coyotes from Reed City, 2-1.   Offensively, the Pack had 9 Aces and 15 kills.  Kendall Barnhart had 4 aces and 3 kills, Nat Storms had 2 aces, Mackenzie Gleason had 1 ace and 3 kills, while Taylor Waite added 4 kills and Lily Kate Christoffersen had 4 kills. Defensively, the Pack had 29 digs and 2 blocks.  Avery Christoffersen and Kendall Barnhart each had 8 digs, Lily VandenBerg added 3 digs, while Baylah Parker chipped in 2 digs.  Waite and Gleason each had a block. The Pack host a quad on Thursday for their final home contests of the season.  The Pack are now 28-8-1.  Go Pack!

The Lady JV Packers traveled to Grand Haven for the Grand Haven Volleyball Invitational on Saturday.  The Pack struggled to pull out a victory, but showed grit while battling with some very good D1 competition.   On the day, the Pack had 31 Aces and 50 kills with 96 digs and 8 blocks. Serve leaders include Kendall Barnhart with 7 Aces, Lily VandenBerg and Nat Storms with 6, Mackenzie Gleason with 5,  Avery Christoffersen with 4, and Kenzie Gugins with 3.  Kill leaders include Gugins with 16, Barnhart with 11, Taylor Waite with 9, Mackenzie Gleason with 6, Liv Hansen, VandenBerg, and Storms each with 3, Khloe Callison and Bree Contreras each with 1. Defensive dig leaders include Christoffersen and Gugins each with 20, and Baylah Parker with 14 and Barnhart, Storms and VandenBerg each with 11.  Waite added 3 blocks while Gleason had 2. The Pack play Reed City at home on Tuesday.  Go Pack!

The Lady JV Packers defeated the visiting Lions from Newaygo in straight sets; 25-11, 25-9 and 15-6.  The Pack dominated the game from the opening serve to remain undefeated in conference play (4-0). Offensively, the Pack had 16 Aces and 19 Kills on the contest.  Serving leaders included Lily VandenBerg with 6 Aces, Kendall Barnhart with 4, Nat Storms with 3, Kenzie Gugins with 2 and Avery Christoffersen with 1.  Attack leaders include Gugins with 6 kills, Storms with 3, Taylor Waite with 4, with Liv Hansen, Lily Kate Christoffersen, Khloe Callison, Bree Contreras, Mackenzie Gleason, Barnhart and VandenBerg each with a kill. On the defensive end, the Pack had 20 digs and 2 blocks; one from Waite and Hansen.  Christoffersen led the team with 6 digs, Baylah Parker had 5, Barnhart with 4, with Storms, VandenBerg, Gleason and Waite each with 1 dig. The Pack play again this Saturday at the Grand Haven Invitational and improve their record to 27-4-1.  Go Pack!

The Lady JV Packers traveled to Chip Hills for a conference matchup and defeated the Warriors in straight sets, 25-15, 25-21, and 15-11.  Offensively, the Pack had 15 Aces and 25 kills.  Leaders included Nat Storms and Kendall Barnhart with 5 Aces each, Makenzie Gleason with 2, while Avery Christoffersen, Lily VandenBerg and Kenzie Gugins each with an Ace.  Kill leaders included Barnhart and Gugins each with 5, Gleason with 4, Taylor Waite with 3, and Khloe Callison with 2. Lily Kate Christoffersen and Bree Contreras each added a kill. Defensively, the Pack had 37 digs and 1 block by Waite.  Dig leaders included Baylah Parker with 9, Avery Christoffersen with 7, Barnhart with 8, and Lily Kate Christoffersen with 3.   The Pack play at home against the Newaygo Lions on Thursday.  The Pack are now 26-4-1 and 4-0 in conference play.  Go Pack!

The Lady Packers defended their home court Wednesday evening defeating the Vikings from Tri - County in straight sets; 25-16, 25-8, 15-10.   Serving was the offense for the Pack as Nat Storms dished out 10 Aces, followed by Kendall Barnhart with 4, Kenzie Gugins with 3, Mackenzie Gleason, Lily Kate Christoffersen and Avery Christoffersen with 2 a piece, and Lily VandenBerg and Baylah Parker each added an Ace.  Additionally, the Pack had 17 kills, led by Gugins and Taylor Waite each with 4, Barnhart, Christoffersen and Gleason each added 2, while Liv Hansen and Khloe Callison each added a kill. Defensively, the Pack had only 9 digs; Christoffersen led the Pack with 4, while Parker had 3 and Barnhart added 2.   The Pack are now 3-0 in conference play and 25-4-1 overall.  The Pack play again next Tuesday at Chip Hills.

The Lady Packers JV volleyball team traveled to West Michigan Christian for the Warrior Invitational volleyball tournament.  The Pack defeated North Muskegon and host West Michigan Christian to earn the #1 overall seed for bracket play.  They defeated Fruitport in the semi finals and faced Montague in the finals, losing in 2 sets,   13-25 and 17-25.   Offensively, the Pack had 37 Aces and 64 kills.  Scoring leaders included Kendall Barnhart with 12 Aces and 11 kills, Lily VandenBerg with 8 Aces and 2 kills, Nat Storms with 8 Aces, Avery Christoffersen with 8 Aces and 8 kills.  Lily Kate Christoffersen added 12 kills, Taylor Waite with 10 kills, Khloe Callison and Mackenzie Gleason with 7 kills each and Liv Hansen with 5 kills. Defensively, the Pack had 100 digs and 7 blocks on the day.  Leaders included Baylah Parker with 33, Avery Christoffersen with 22 and Kendall Barnhart with 29.  Waite had 2 blocks while Gleason added 3.  Overall a great effort on the day from the JV squad.  Go Pack!
Girls JV Volleyball vs. Grant High School

The Lady JV Packers traveled to Grant for their last conference battle of the season.  The Lady Packers did not disappoint as they defeated the Tigers in straight sets, 25-13, 25-16, 15-9, to go undefeated in conference play this season. Offensively, the Pack had 13 Aces and 28 kills; Ace leaders included Lily VandenBerg and Nat Storms each with 4, Kendall Barnhart and Khloe Callison each with 2 and Lily Kate Christoffersen with an ace.  Attack leaders included Barnhart with 7 kills, Christoffersen, Mackenzie Gleason and Taylor Waite each with 5 kills, and Avery Christoffersen, Liv Hansen, and Callison each with 2 kills.  Bree Contreras served in her first game this season and achieved a service point! Defensively, the Pack had 40 digs and 6 blocks.  Avery Christoffersen led all defenders with 12 digs, Baylah Parker with 7, and Barnhart with 5.  Gleason and Waite each had 3 blocks during the contest.  The JV Packers finish their season with a 31 - 9 - 1 record, well done ladies on a very impressive season!  Go Pack!
Girls JV Volleyball vs. Mona Shores High School

The Lady JV Packers played at Mona Shores volleyball invitational on Saturday.  They struggled to gain traction losing to Montague and ending in a tie with Fruitport.  The Pack played in the Bronze division for bracket play, defeating North Muskegon and Hesperia. Offensively, the Pack had 34 Aces and 63 kills.  Ace leaders included Nat Storms with 8, Lily Kate Christoffersen and Lily VandenBerg each with 7, Baylah Parker and Mackenzie Gleason each with 5.  Kill leaders included Kenzie Gugins with 19, Taylor Waite with 14, Christoffersen and Gleason each with 8, Khloe Callison and Liv Hansen each with 5.  Defensively, the Pack had 80 digs and 8 blocks.  Parker led the defensive charge with 30 digs while Waite had 6 blocks. The Pack play again on Saturday at West Michigan Christian for another volleyball tournament.

The Lady JV Packers won the Sparta Volleyball Invitational, defeating all opponents and never losing a set!  The defeated Cedar Springs 25-22, 25-22; Hopkins, 25-10, 25-11; Grant 25-18, 25-19; Potter's House 25-13, 25-11; and Hastings 25-18, 25-12. Offensively the Pack had 64 Aces and 59 Kills.  Leaders included Lily VandenBerg Nat Storms each with 16 Aces, Kendall Barnhart with 14 Aces and 11 Kills, Kenzie Gugins with 7 Aces and 21 Kills, McKenzie Gleason with 5 Aces and 10 Kills, and Taylor Waite with 13 Kills.  Lily Kate Christoffersen and Bree Contreras each added 2 Kills apiece. Defensively, the Pack had 55 Digs.  Dig leaders included Baylah Parker with 20, Storms with 11 and VandenBerg with 7.  The Pack also had 12 Blocks; leaders included Waite with 5, Gleason with 3, Khloe Callison with 2 and Barnhart with 1 block. The Pack improve to 16-2 on the season and face cross town rival Newaygo at home on Tuesday.  Go Pack!

The Lady JV Packers enjoyed an undefeated evening against JV teams from Whitehall, Big Rapids and host school Ludington.  The Packers never dropped a set defeating Big Rapids 25 - 17, 25 - 14, Whitehall 25 - 13, 25 - 22 and Ludington 25 - 12 and 25 - 19.  Offensively, the Pack served up 42 Aces and had 48 kills during the contests.  Ace leaders include Kenzie Gugins with 11, Kendall Barnhart with 10, Baylah Parker 6, Nat Storms 6, Lily VandenBerg 3, Mackenzie Gleason 4, and Taylor Waite with 2.  Attack leaders include Barnhart with 21, Gugins 7, Waite 5, Gleason 5, Lily Kate Christoffersen 3, Bree Contreras with 2 and Khloe Callison with 2. Defensively, the Pack had 27 digs.  Leaders included Parker with 8, Gugins with 10 and Barnhart with 3.  Gugins and Waite each had a block kill. The Pack improves to 14 - 2 on the season.  Next competition is at the Sparta tournament on Saturday.  Go Pack!

The JV Lady Packers defended their home court this evening defeating the Hornets from Central Montcalm 3 - 0 in straight sets; 25-23, 25-21, and 15-6. Offensively, the Pack set the tone serving wise putting up 14 Aces and 24 kills.  Serving leaders for the Pack included Lily VandenBerg and Nat Storms with 4 Aces apiece, Avery Christoffersen, Kenzie Gugins, and Kendall Barnhart each with 2.  Kill leaders include Taylor Waite with 7, Gugins 5, Liv Hansen and Barnhart each with 4, Bree Contreras with 2, and Lily Kate Christoffersen and Khloe Callison each with a kill. Defensively, the Pack enjoyed 14 digs; Avery Christoffersen with 10 and Barnhart with 4.  Callison and Gugins each had a block on the contest. The Pack improve to 11 - 2 on the season and head to Ludington for a quad on Thursday.

The Lady JV Packers worked diligently to earn the road victory at tonights contest with Big Rapids.  The Packers won all three sets, 25-17, 25-17, and 15-10. Offensively, the Pack had 17 Aces and 14 kills during the match.  Ace leaders included Nat Storms and Kendall Barnhart with 5 a piece, Lily VandenBerg with 3, and Lily Kate Christoffersen with 2.  Attack leaders included Taylor Waite with 5 kills, Kenzie Gugins with 3 kills.  Assist leaders were VandenBerg with 2 and Storms with 7. Defensively, the Pack had 20 digs.  Leaders included Avery Christoffersen and Storms with 5, Gugins and VandenBerg with 3 apiece, and Baylah Parker with 2.  Liv Hansen and Khloe Callison each had a block during the contest. The Pack improve to 1 - 0 for conference play and are now 10 - 2 overall.  They play at home against Cental Montcalm for their next matchup.

The JV lady Packers played some awesome volleyball against 3 tough opponents; Jenison, Whitehall and Mona Shores.  They defeated Jenison 25-12, 26-24; Whitehall 25-19, 25-7; and lost to Mona Shores in a very competitive battle, 20-25, 27-25 and 14-16. Offensively, the Pack had 36 Aces and 39 Kills;  Serve leaders included Nat Storms with 11 aces, Lily Vandenberg with 7 aces.  Attack leaders included Kenzie Gugins with 13 kills, Taylor Waite with 11 kills, and  Kendall Barnhart with 9 kills. Defensively, the Pack had 64 digs, Dig leaders included Baylah Parker and Avery Christoffersen with 12 digs apiece.  Taylor Waite had 3 blocks. The Packers record is 9-2.  Our next matchup is next Tuesday, September 7th, when the Packers travel to Big Rapids to begin league play.

The lady JV Packers played some tough competition Wednesday evening when they traveled to play at Caledonia.  They faced Forest Hills Northern, Catholic Central and host school, Caledonia. The Pack put up good offense and defense throughout the contests, defeating Caledonia, 16-25, 26-24, 15-5, and Forest Hills Northern, 25-13, 25-12, while losing in three competitive sets to Catholic Central, 27-25, 15-25, and 9-15. Offensively, the Pack had 20 Aces and 39 kills.  Defensively, the Pack had 92 digs and 2 blocks. The Pack improve their record to 7-1.  They have a home quad on September 1st.

The Lady JV Packers defeated all opponents while hosting their first "1st Dig" volleyball tournament.  They defeated Tri County, Orchard View, North Muskegon in pool play.  Then in bracket play, they beat Fremont's freshman team winning 25-9 and 25-19, and then defeated North Muskegon in the finals matchup, 25-21, 25-9.  Leading servers for the Pack included Lily VandenBerg with 19 Aces, Kendall Barnhart with 14, Avery Christoffersen with 11, and Nat Storms with 10.  Attacking leaders included Kenzie Gugins with 27 kills, Barnhart with 20, Taylor Waite with 15, and Mackenzie Gleason with 10.  Additional contributors included Lily Kate Christoffersen with 6 kills while Liv Hansen and Khloe Callison each added 4 kills. Defensively, the Pack had 130 digs; leaders include Avery Christoffersen with 34, Gugins and VandenBerg with 19, and Baylah Parker with 18.  Waite added 4 blocks, while Gleason and Bree Contreras had 2 blocks apiece. The Pack travel to Caledonia on Wednesday for a quad.  JV record is 5 - 0.  Great start ladies.
