Girls Varsity Soccer vs. Freeland

The Fremont girls' soccer team once again made the trip to Clare for a regional match.  This time the Packers took on Freeland for the regional title.  The first half was back and forth with very few scoring opportunities for either team.  The score at half was 0-0.  Freeland's Reese Conlee scored 14 minutes into the second half giving Freeland a 1-0 lead.  Just 1 minute later Mia Nietzke from Freeland added their second goal.  That score stood as the Packers fell 0-2.  Freeland outshot Fremont 12-2 in the match.  Fremont's Hallie Snyder made 10 saves for the Packers.  Freeland's keeper Adelyn Senkowski ended with two saves.  Fremont's season comes to an end with a 16-5-1 overall record.  Freeland improves to 15-4-5 overall and will take on Hudsonville Unity Christian in the semifinals on 6/12.

Girls Varsity Soccer vs. Tri-County High School

The Fremont girls' soccer team traveled to Clare on Tuesday afternoon to take on the Tri-County Vikings. Fremont got out to a quick start when Maddie Mater found Mia Clemence who finished a shot 4 minutes into the match. Clemence found the back of the net again when she received a ball from Ella Shriver with 20 minutes remaining in the first half. Clemence made it a hat trick just 7 minutes later on a through ball from Grace Evans. The score stood at 3-0 at the half. Tri-County wasn't finished however. Rebecca Duvall got the Vikings on the board on a pass from Savannah Thompson with 25 minutes to play. Ashley Campbell made it a one goal match with 11 minutes left but Tri-County was unable to find the equalizer from that point on. Fremont dominated in shots on frame 20-3. Tri-County's keeper Athena Herrington made 17 saves while Fremont's Hallie Snyder made one save for the Packers. Fremont improves to 16-4-1 overall while Tri-County finished the season 17-8. Fremont advances to play Freeland in the regional final on Thursday at 5:00pm in Clare.

Girls Varsity Soccer vs. Montague

The Fremont girls' soccer traveled to Manistee to take on the Wildcats of Montague in the District 36 final on Friday night.  The match was tight from the beginning with both sides having opportunities throughout the match.  Fremont's Mia Clemence put Fremont on the board first just 5 minutes into the match on a ball from Maddie Mater.  The scored stayed 1-0 until Montague finished a corner kick with 13 minutes to play in the first half making it 1-1.  The score at halftime stayed 1-1.  Neither team seemed to be able to find the back of the net in the 2nd half and the game went into overtime.  4 minutes into the first overtime, Riley Chase buried a ball from Clemence putting the Packers up 2-1.  Fremont rode that momentum to the finish claiming their first district title since 2009.  Fremont outshot Montague 13-9.  Packer goalkeeper Hailie Snyder made 8 saves for Fremont while Montague's goalie Addison Pranger made 11 for the Wildcats.  Fremont improves to 15-4-1 overall and will take on Tri-County on Tuesday in Clare.  Montague ended their season at 12-7-2 overall.

Girls Varsity Soccer vs. Whitehall High School

The Fremont girls' soccer team traveled to Manisteee on Wednesday afternoon to take on the Vikings from Whitehall in the 2nd round of district play.  Fremont's Mia Clemence netted the first goal with 18 minutes in the first half.  Whitehall's Ava Garcia responded a minute later on a ball from Kate Beda to knot the game at 1-1.  Clemence scored a second goal on an assist from Taylor DeKuiper to make the score 2-1 at the half.  Fremont took control of the match during the second half scoring 5 more unanswered goals.  Clemence added another goal to make it a hat trick on the night while Riley Chase also scored three goals and McKenna Scott added a single goal.  Clemence also had 2 assists and Maddie Mater added 2 assists of her own.  Fremont outshot Whitehall 14-4.  Fremont's Hallie Snyder made 3 saves in net while Whitehall's keeper Clare Westerlund made 7 saves.  Fremont improves to 14-4-1 overall while Whitehall finishes the season at 7-8-1 overall.

Girls Varsity Soccer vs. Covenant Christian High School

The Fremont girls' soccer team traveled to Grand Rapids Covenant Christian on Tuesday evening to finish up the contest started the night before but postponed because of storms.  Covenant Christian was leading 1-0 when the storms came through on Monday night and when play resumed on Tuesday the scored remained 1-0 all the way to the half.  Covenant Christian netted two more goals before Mia Clemence put the Packers on the board.  The final score was 3-1. Fremont outshot Covenant Christian 9-5 but wasn't able to capitalize on the chances.  Packer keeper Hailey Snyder made 2 saves.  Fremont falls to 13-4-1 overall while Covenant Christian improves to 3-13-1.

Girls Varsity Soccer vs. The Potter's House

The Fremont Packers traveled to Davenport University where they played The Potter's House on Friday evening.  The Potter's House struck first 15 minutes into the contest on a goal by Karissa Boorsma.  It was all Fremont from there on out with Mia Clemence scoring two goals and notching 2 assists, Riley Chase netting two goals of her own, and Ella Shriver and Maya Hambrock finishing one a piece.  Maddie Mater also had 3 assists and Shriver added one as well.  The final score was 6-1 in favor of the Packers.  Fremont outshot Potter's House 11-3 in the contest.  Fremont's goalkeeper Hailey Snyder made 2 saves while The Potter's House goalkeeper Ariana Arroyo made 5.  Fremont improves to 13-3-1 overall while Potter's House drops to 8-5-2.

The Fremont Packers traveled to Western Michigan Christian to take on the Warriors in a non-conference match.  Nora Pollock from WMC had a field day as she scored 5 goals and added an assist.  The score was 3-0 at the half.  WMC outshot Fremont 13-2.  Fremont's goalkeeper Hailey Snyder made 7 saves while Eloina Clapp made 2 saves for the Warriors.  WMC improves to 9-1-2 while Fremont falls to 12-3-1.

Montague and Fremont clashed in a WMC showdown on Monday evening in girls' soccer. Fremont got out to an early lead and never relinquished it.  It was a wild game offensively with 13 total goals being scored.  Fremont led 5-3 at the half.  Mia Clemence ended with 5 goals and 2 assists, Riley Chase had 3 of her own and an assist, and Maddie Mater added another along with 2 assists.  Montague's Ava Pelton, Addison Pranger, Braylyn Bultema, and Lilly Rice all had goals of their own.  Fremont won the match 9-4.  The Packers also outshot the Wildcats 20-9.  Fremont's Hallie Snyder made 5 saves while Montague's Claire Aebig made 11 of her own.  Fremont improves to 12-2-1 overall and 8-2 in the conference.  Montague falls to 10-6-2 overall and 5-3-1 in the conference.

Girls Varsity Soccer vs. North Muskegon High School

Fremont traveled to North Muskegon on Wednesday evening with the win taking sole possession of first place in the WWC.  North Muskegon outplayed the Packers from the beginning out shooting them 17-1.  North Muskegon scored first when Emily Creed finished off a corner kick 5 minutes into the match.  Just 30 seconds later Fremont's Mia Clemence answered tying the score.  Alex Johnson netted the next two goals making it 3-1 at the half.  Allyie Jensen finished off the scoring with 9 minutes to play in the game.  Fremont's Hallie Snyder made 13 saves in net for Fremont.  Fremont falls to 10-2-1 overall and 7-2 in the conference.  North Muskegon improves to 11-2 overall and 9-0 in the conference.

Girls Varsity Soccer vs. Fruitport High School

Fremont and Fruitport battled to a 2-2 tie on Monday evening in a non-conference match.  Fremont got on the board first on a goal from Maddie Mater and assist from Mia Clemence with 15 minutes to play in the first half.  With only 8 minutes left in the first half Clemence sent a ball to McKenna Scott who finished a far side goal.  The score was 2-0 at the half.  Fruitport came out with a passion in the second half and Mallory Smith netted a goal from Izabel Hanson-Wilbur 7 minutes in.  Hanson-Wilbur added the final goal of the match from Smith with 15 left.  Fruitport outshot Fremont 19-5 and dominated the game with possession.  Fremont moves to 10-1-1 overall while Fruitport goes to 4-7-2.  

Girls Varsity Soccer vs. Tri-County High School

Fremont and Tri-County came together to play a non-conference match on Friday evening in Fremont.  Fremont took the game with a 5-2 edge.  Fremont's Ella Shriver started the scoring 5 minutes into the match off a corner kick from Mia Clemence. Tri-County answered 20 minutes later on a goal from Savannah Tompson.  Fremont didn't waste any time regaining the lead.  Clemence found the back of the net again on a ball from Makenna Scott only 10 seconds later.  The score was 2-1 at the half.  Clemence added two more goals in the second half from Maddie and Taylor DeKuiper before Tompson from Tri-County narrowed the gap to 4-2.  Makenna Scott scored the final goal assisted by Clemence with 7 minutes remaining in the game making the final 5-2.  Fremont improves to 10-1 overall while Tri-County falls to 10-4.

Girls Varsity Soccer vs. Hart High School

The Hart Pirates made a trip to Fremont to play the Packers in girls' soccer that turned out to be a wild match.  Hart jumped out to an early lead with two goals by Brooklyn Storms in the first 20 minutes of play.  Mia Clemence of Fremont respond with three goals of her own to capture the lead.  However, the Pirates weren't done as Addison Kokx netted two goals all during the first half of play.  The halftime score was 4-3 in favor of Hart.  Fremont's defense tightened up in the second half and the Packers continued to score.  Taylor DeKuiper, Maddie Mater, and Clemence all added 2nd half goals making the final score 6-4.  Mater also chipped in 3 assists while Clemence and Riley Chase both added an assist of their own.  Fremont outshot Hart 11-9.  Hallie Snyder and Kate Mellema split time in net for the Packers.  Snyder ended with 3 saves and Mellema with 2.  Hart's goalkeeper Emma Jeffries made 5 saves.  Fremont improves to 9-1 overall and 7-1 in the conference.  Hart drops to 8-6 overall and 3-3 in the conference.

Girls Varsity Soccer vs. Ludington Area Schools

The Fremont girls' soccer team traveled up to Ludington on Monday evening for a WMC match up.  Ludington ended up taking the match 3-1.  The score was 2-0 at the half.  Ludington struck first on a corner kick from Maddi Billings to the head of Emma McKinley just 13 minutes into the match.  With 13 minutes to play in the first half Billings added to the Ludington lead with a well placed ball from 25 yards out.  Fremont's Maddie Mater answered with a goal from Riley Chase 7 minutes into the second half.  Maddy Gasaway of Ludington finished the final goal for Ludington with 7 minutes to play to seal the win for the home team.  The shots were even at 7-7.  Fremont's Hallie Snyder made 4 saves in net for the Packers while Cambria Britton made 6 saves for the Orioles.  Fremont drops to 8-1 overall and 6-1 in the conference.  Ludington improves to 3-6-3 overall and 3-0-3 in the conference.

The Fremont Packers paid a visit to Whitehall in girls' soccer on Thursday evening for a WMC matchup.  Fremont ended up winning the contest 6-0.  It was 3-0 at the half.  Mia Clemence and Riley Chase both netted two goals and had single assists.  Taylor DeKuiper and Maddie Mater added the other two goals.  McKenna Scott also chipped in an assist.  Fremont outshot the Vikings 15-5.  Fremont's keeper Hallie Snyder made 5 saves in the victory.  The defense of Grace Evans, Anna Norris, Kate Mellema, Tori Ward, and Taylor Johnson kept a pesky Whitehall team off of the scoreboard.  Fremont improves to 8-0 overall and 6-0 in the conference.  Whitehall drops to 2-4-1 overall and 1-3-1 in the conference.

The Fremont Packers took on the Tigers of Shelby on Wednesday afternoon in a WMC match.  Fremont ended up winning the match 8-0.  It was 6-0 at the half.  Mia Clemence had a trick and an assist.  Maddie Mater ended with 2 goals and an assist.  Taylor DeKuiper, Riley Chase, and Grace Evans all had single goals.  Anna Norris, Dayanara Arellano, and DeKuiper all added assists.  Fremont outshot Shelby 17-2.  Haillie Snyder for the Packers made 2 saves in goal.  Shelby keeper Biloxi Lee made 9 saves.  Fremont improves to 7-0 overall and 5-0 in the conference.  Shelby falls to 4-5-1 overall and 1-3-1 in the conference.

The Cardinals of Orchard View made the trip over to Fremont for a WMC conference match on Monday afternoon.  Fremont came out victorious with the score of 5-0.  The score was 2-0 at the half.  Fremont's Mia Clemence scored twice and added two assists while Mckenna Scott, Ella Shriver, and Riley Chase all netted single goals.  Taylor Giangiobi helped with two assists and Dayanara Arellano had one.  Hallie Snyder recorded the shutout for the Packers.  Fremont outshot Orchard View 20-0.  The Cardinals keeper Emily Santos ended with 15 saves for the visitors.  Fremont improves to 6-0 overall and 4-0 in the conference.  Orchard View dropped to 2-5 overall and 0-3 in the conference.

The Fremont girls' soccer team paid a visit to Manistee Wednesday evening for a WMC match up.  Fremont ended up winning the match 7-0.  It was 3-0 at the half.  Mia Clemence had a hat trick with an assist, Riley Chase added two goals of her own, and Maddie Mater and Ella Shriver had single tallies.  Taylor DeKuiper and Grace Evans both had assists in the victory.  The Packers outshot Manistee 16-2.  Packer goalkeeper Haillie Snyder made 2 saves while Piper Eskridge made 9 saves for Manistee.  Fremont improves to 5-0 overall and 3-0 in the conference.  Manistee falls to 1-4 overall and 1-2 in the conference.

Ravenna visited the Packers on Monday afternoon for a WMC match up.  Fremont ended up winning the match 6-0.  The score was 4-0 at the half.  Taylor DeKuiper ended with a hat trick, Mia Clemence added two goals of her own, Maddie Mater netted a goal and had two assists, Riley Chase chipped in with two assists, and Ava Krohn added an assist of her own.  Fremont outshot Ravenna 14-5.  Hallie Snyder made 5 saves in net for the Packers while Avery Walker made 8 saves for Ravenna.  Fremont improves to 4-0 overall and 2-0 in the conference.  Ravenna falls to 2-2-1 overall and 1-1 in the conference.

Muskegon Oakridge and the Fremont Packers battled on Wednesday evening in both teams first conference match of the season.  It was a close game with opportunities from both sides.  The score was 0-0 at the half.  Six minutes into the second half Mia Clemence hit a shot off the hands of the Oakridge goalkeeper and Riley Chase finished the play.  Chase's goal was the only tally of the match leading to 1-0 victory for the Packers.  Fremont outshot Oakridge 19-3.  Hallie Snyder made 3 saves in net for the Packers while Alayna Weiss made 18 saves for Oakridge.  Fremont improved to 3-0 overall and 1-0 in the conference.  Oakridge falls to 1-2 overall and 0-1 in the conference.

Girls Varsity Soccer vs. Muskegon Catholic Central

The lady Packers traveled to Muskegon Catholic Central to play a non-conference match against the Crusaders.  MCC got on the board first on a set play by Lyla Kotecki with 12 minutes to play in the first half.  The score was 1-0 at the half.  The score remained 1-0 until 20 minutes to play in the game when Riley Chase finished a ball from Dayanara Arellano.  Mia Clemence scored 50 seconds later on an assist from Maddie Mater.  Chase netted two more goals to seal the match for the Packers.  Fremont outshot MCC 17-2.  Fremont's keeper Hallie Snyder made two saves for the Packers while Lindsay Ladd made 13 saves for the Crusaders.  Fremont improves to 2-0 overall while MCC falls to 0-1.

Girls Varsity Soccer vs. Comstock Park High School

The Packers girls' soccer team started out the season against Comstock Park at home in a non-conference match.  The Packers were sluggish at first but ended putting together better effort in the second half.  The score was 2-0 at the end of the first half in favor of Fremont.  The Packers sharpened things up and tallied 6 more goals in the first 22 minutes of the second half.  Riley Chase and Mia Clemence both ended with hat tricks while Maddie Mater and Anna Norris each added goals.  Mater, Chase, and Norris also had assists in the match. The Fremont goalkeeper was Hallie Snyder who made 2 saves.  Comstock Park's keeper was Hailie Antor who made 19 saves. Fremotn outshot Comstock Park 27-2.  The Packers start the sesaon 1-0 and Comstock Park 0-1.
