For the 2nd time this season the Lady Packers Golf Team broke the girls golf school record for low team score for an 18 hole event at Northwood Golf course for the Hesperia Panther Invitational Tournament. The pervious record was 373 which this same team recorded just one week ago at Waters Edge Golf Course. Fremont shot an impressive 369 taking 1st place for thier 4th tournament win on the season. Dual medalist for the invitational were Lilly Schwartz and Laurne Roossinck shooting an 85, both personal best records for the girls. Also finishing in the top ten were Amelia Foster posting a 95 and finishing 5th, Gabi Folkema finished 8th while Lena Hudson finished 10th. The Packers will play again Tuesday, October 10th in the Regional Tournament at St. Ives Golf Course.

The Lady Packers Golf team turned in their best performance of the 2023 golf season to win the 1st annual Newaygo County Girls Golf Invitational held at Waters Edge Golf Course. The Pack shot a season low team total 373. The 373 is the lowest score shot by a Fremont Team in at least 7 years. Leading the way for the Packers and Medalist in the Invitational was Lauren Roossinck who shot a personal record 87. 2nd place was Lilly Schwartz with a 91, Finishing 3rd with a personal best score of 97 was Amelia Foster while Lena Hudson finished 4th shooting a 98. Also finiishing in the top 10 was Autumn Dickson shooting a PB 108 and Gabi Folkema who finished 9th. Two Newaygo Lions medaled with Abygail Lauryssens finishing 5th and Sydnee Kirk who finished 6th.

Lena Hudson tied the school record for best 9 hole round in a varsity match by shooting 39 on the par 35 course. She finished 5th out of 45 competitors. Also playing well and tying her personal best round was Amelia Foster as she shot a 46 and finished 12th on the day.

Fremont, playing short handed, placed 6 in the 11 team field played at a very difficult course in Canadian Lakes at St. Ives Golf Course. Leading the way and scoring for the Lady Packers was Lilly Schwartz, followed by Lena Hudson, Amelia Foster and Gabi Folkema.

The girls golf team did something that hasn't been done by a Fremont team in 7 years. The girls won the 1st WMC tournament of the 2023 season played at Manistee Country Club. Lilly Schwartz was Fremont's top golfer shooting a 43 to finished tied for 2 nd in the 50 player field. Also finishing in the top 10 for Fremont was Amelia Foster in 5th place while both Lena Hudson and Lauren Roossinck tied for 8th.
