Boys Varsity Old Channel Trail Jamboree @ Montague

Old Channel Grail Golf Course in Montague was the venue for the Fremont High School boys varsity golf team on May 4th. The team won its second Jamboree event of the season firing a team total of 163 followed closely in second by the Chippewas from Manistee with a team total of 166. Whitehall fished third with a total of 171. Host Montague finished 4th. Ludington, Oakridge, and Orchard View finished 5th, 6th, and 7th respectively. Leading the team with an even par 9 hole round of 35 was Killian Prewitt. Team mate Kaden Drozd shot 37. Alex Kortge shot his second career low round at 42. The fourth counting score for the team total was registered by Jake Welsh with a 49. Sam Content, and Aston Yuhasz were the 5th and 6th players for Fremont. The team travels to the Lincoln Hills Golf Club in Ludington on Wednesday May 10th to play in its next Conference matchup. .

Fremont Garners 1st at Manistee Jamboree

The Fremont High School Boys team competed in the Manistee Jamboree on Monday April 24. The 9 hole event included teams from Manistee, Ludington, Whitehall, Oakridge, Montague,and Orvhard View. The team came away with a first place finish shooting a combined score of 173. Second place went to Manistee with a score of 179, Ludington finished third with 181. The top four for Fremont and their scores were Kaden Drozd at 41, Killian Prewitt at 42, Alex Kortge at 43, and freshman Sam content at 47. Next up for the team is the Oakridge Invitational at Chase Hammon Golf Course on Wednesday April 26th before returning to conference play on Monday May 1st.
