BIG RAPIDS HIGH SCHOOL: 48.00
The Freshmen boys, at full strength for the first time this season, traveled to Big Rapids to challenge the Cardinals. After trailing by 2 after the first quarter, the Packers took a 30-19 lead into the locker room at the intermission. A good battle materialized in the third quarter with Cardinals battling back and the Packers holding onto a 34-29 lead. The drama continued into the 4th with both teams scoring double digits, taking us to a 45-45 tie at the end of regulation. The Packer defense showed up big in the extra stanza, holding the Cardinals to 3 points while the Packer offense scored 8 leading to a 5 point 53-48 victory for our first win of the young season. Leading the Packer scoring was Collin Trouslot with 16, Eli Waite with 11, Javon Brown with 9 and Luke Follett and Sam Cummins each chipping in 8.
