After not having a game last week the Fremont JV Football team traveled to a Tri-County. Even though we came up short on the score board we saw something change in this team that brings great promise for the future of the program.

          With the opening offensive drive you could tell that not playing last week didn't hurt us to bad. The offensive line did amazing with first year players like Andrew Steger, Easton Herman, Preston Hunt, Aiden DeWeerdt , Owen Vandenberg and returner Brendon Maka. They opened up huge running lanes to allow Justin Dirhiemer to tally over 200 yards rushing and 3 touchdowns for the night.  The 2 turnovers from fumbles from the offense proved to be the to much to mount a comeback. Moving forward offensively there is huge promise with this group mostly made of first year football players. 

        Defensively with a young group you will have struggles with of aggressiveness and willingness to do what is needed physically. You could tell that Tri County came out wanting to assert their toughness on us. It took till halftime talk to get them to realize that they have to become the Alphas on the field. To have a successful program it needs to have the Alpha mentality of this is our game and we need to enforce our will on them. In the second half you could see that grow in them and that is what made the staff proud of them. They showed relentless fight in them. There some kids that showed they want more by going in and showing their fight and it will help them succeed more in the future.
