The JV Packers earned their 3rd victory on the season over a tough and resilient Newaygo team. The Packers were very impressive at the beginning of the game as the offense drove down the field and scored on their first possession and then the defense turned around and got Newaygo in a 3 and out. However, Fremont turnovers and penalties kept Newaygo hanging around until a much needed 4th quarter touchdown drive by the offense. A 4th down stop by the defense sealed the victory. Haden Threatt and Maverick McKinnon had interceptions and the lineback crew of Gabe VanVleet, Justin Dirheimer, Michael Romero, Gabe Delong, and Andrew Lyon did a fantastic job of stopping the run. The JV Packers are on the road next week at Grant for homecoming week before returning home to play Tri-County. Thank you for the support the parents and fans gave our athletes.
