BIG RAPIDS HIGH SCHOOL: 14
After a really sluggish start by the JV Packers where they were smacked in the mouth by Big Rapids, a touchdown pass from Alex Gleason to Maverick McKinnon right before half time proved to be the big momentum swing the Packers needed. The second half started with a huge touchdown drive lead by the offensive line and punched in by McKinnon and the two point conversion by Wei Chen. The game ended with a defensive goal line stand where the JV defense stopped Big Rapids 4 times from the 1 yard line. The defense ran to the football well to keep the out of the endzone to preserve the victory. The JV Packers are 2-1 and look forward to some home cooking the next two weeks verse Central Montcalm and Newaygo. We look forward to your support.
