Bats Blistered as Fremont Junior Varsity Baseball Defeats Reed City 14-8 Fremont bested Reed CIty in a high-scoring affair, 14-8 Fremont got things started in the first inning when Brendon Dirks grounded out, scoring one run. Fremont continued to score in the second inning putting up seven runs with Lucas Carrier, Deagan Klimek, Brendan Dirks, Mason Sparks and Coltyn Zerlaut all driving in runs. Mason Sparks earned the win for Fremont lasting three and a third innings, allowing three hits and six runs while striking out four. Deagan Klimek threw two and two-thirds in relief. Fremont Racked up 14 hits on the day with Chase Paulsen, Mason Sparks, Deagan Klimek, Brandan Dirks and Lucas Carrier all had multiple hits with Mason Sparks and Chase Paulsen collecting three to lead the team. Fremont also stole a total of six bases with Deagan Klimek leading the team with two.
