Fremont Junior Varsity's Chase Mercer Throws No-Hitter to Defeat Ravenna Chase Mercer was brilliant on the mound on Friday, as he threw a no-hitter to lead Fremont past Ravenna 10-0. Fremont got things started in the first inning when Chase Paulsen grounded out, scoring two runs. They went on to notch five runs in the fourth inning. Blake Zerlaut, Remi Faulkner, and Caleb Vissia powered the big inning with RBIs. Chase Mercer took the win for Fremont allowing zero hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out ten. Blake Zerlaut led Fremont with two hits in three at bats. Remi Faulkner led Fremont with five stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with 13 stolen bases.
