The Fremont Packer Junior Varsity baseball team defeated Kent City 7-3 Tuesday evening. The Packers got on the board in the second inning on a Trent Gibbe single. Owen Vanderstelt started the game and pitched 3 innings giving up 2 runs and striking out 5. Chase Mercer recorded the win for the Packers pitching 3 innings giving up 1 run and striking out 5 as well. Mason Sparks pitched a scoreless 7th inning in relief. Trent Gibbe, Deagan Klimek and Chase Paulsen all had 1 hit to lead the Packers.
