West Michigan All-Star Meet

Good temps., Varied breeze.

The boys had a great meet last night with some Prs, Victories, and 2 Meet records.

Gabe Whittle got the positive mojo flowing by Jumping a Pr. 19’7.5” in the long jump, followed by Wes Ekkel jumping 6’ to place 2nd in the high jump. The 4x800 relay team of Gavin Schuler, Jackson Fair, Brennan Schuler, and John Christensen ran a solid race to place 2nd in the 4x800 (8:41.00). Nathan Walker, Conor Somers, and Ben Paige went 1, 2, 3 in the 1600 will all setting new Prs, and Nathan broke the meet record running 4:14.00 (4:15.82). Then the 4x100 team of Conner Roesler, Caleb Geeting, Wei Chen, and Wes Ekkel improved their Pr by over a second running 45.99. In the 800 Conor Somers set another Pr finishing 3rd in 2:00.94. Nathan Walker came back in the 3200 to break another meet record running 9:16.90, Ben Paige placed 3rd, with Gavin Schuler placing 6th in a Pr 10:20.88, and John Christensen Pr’ing in 10:43. 85. The 4x400 team of Case DeKryger (53.53), Gabe Whittle (53.44), Conor Somers (52.4), and Nathan Walker (52.19) pulled off an upset by cutting 4 seconds off their best time to win in 3:31.56.

It was a great night and is always one of the best meets of the year.
