It was the Packers first night of West Michigan Conference competition.
We defeated Montague 54-30.
Winning for Fremont were Tee Ward, Beckett Newell, Trey Myers, Kaiye Miron, Kyle Nagel, Michael Romero, Killian Prewitt, Wes Campbell and Braulio Gomez Soto. The win was highlighted by Michael Romero slating his 100th career victory. He pinned Montague’s Joe Winkelman in the first period in 55 seconds at the heavyweight bout.
In the second dual of the night, the Packers wrestled Whitehall. The Packers lost to the Vikings 54-17. Victors for the Packers were Trey Myers at 175, Michael Romero at 215, Killian Prewitt at 120 and Tee Ward at 144 pounds.
