Fremont Wrestling Finished Runner-Up at the Shelby Invite Last Weekend

Fremont wrestling traveled to Shelby for their ten team invite.  The teams consisted of Cedar Springs, Fremont, Grant, Hart, Kent City, Mason County Central, Newaygo, Pine River, Shelby,  and Sparta.  Fremont was undefeated in their pool of 5. The pool team scores for the Packers were:

Fremont 56 Pine River 24

Fremont 66 Grant 17

Fremont 46 Sparta 30

Fremont 71 Mason County Central 11

In the championship finals, the Packers fell just short to the Hart Pirates, losing 42-30, to earn the tournament Runner-Up trophy.

Packers that were undefeated on the day were: Killian Prewitt, Elias Bowen, Tee Ward, Daniel Romero, and Briar Hambrock. Packers that were 4-1 for the day were: RJ Thome, Braulio Gomez, Trey Myers, Dennis Halasinski, and Michael Romero. Packers that were also victorious were Alex Gleason, Chase Montague, Kaidyn Pierson, Hayden Threatt, Henrik Quist, Ella Shields, Rylee Wright, Luke Langley, Vinnie Mellema, Lexie Andree, Aiden DeWeerdt, Kyle Nagel, and Colby Wright.
