Fremont Wrestling Had Eleven Medalists at Allendale
Fremont Wrestling competed at the Allendale Invite this past weekend and had eleven placers. The thirteen team tournament had numerous returning State champions and All-state wrestlers in the brackets and the Packers had a strong showing. Crowned the champion at 119 was Tee Ward and RJ Thome was the runner up at 125 pounds. At 103, Killian Prewitt placed 3rd and Michael Romero was 4th at 189. At 145, Trey Myers finished 6th in a weight class with 2 state champions and a runner up from last year. Alex Gleason and Colby Wright were also top 6 medalists. Other winners on the day were: Wei Chen, Braulio Gomez, Luke Langley, Daniel Romero, Chase Montague, and Kyle Nagel.
In the Girls’ Division, Kaidyn Pierson, Ella Shields and Lexie Andree were all champs in their bracket and Marina Almendro was second.
