The Fremont Packers opened up their tournament competition this past weekend at the Kent City Kickoff Classic and finished with a record of 4-1. They had a strong showing and finished Runner-Up to Division 1 state ranked Rockford.
The match scores were:
Fremont 48 Belding 33
Fremont 24 Rockford 51
Fremont 52 Whitehall B 26
Fremont 45 Kent City 36
Fremont 62 Newaygo 18
RJ Thome (119) and Trey Myers (152) were undefeated 5-0 and other medalists were :
Killian Prewitt, Tee Ward, Alex Gleason, Michael Romero, Aiden DeWeerdt, and Briar Hambrock.
Other winners were: Daniel Romero, Hayden Threatt, Luke Langley, Kyle Nagel, Braulio Gomez, Wei Chen, Dennis Halasinski, Kaiye Miron, Elias Bowen, Chase Montague and Kage Atwood.
The Packers are now 6-1. They start their CSAA Gold Conference competition this week.
