Fremont Wrestling Qualified 6 Wrestlers to Individual State and 3 Earned All-State Honors

Fremont Wrestling traveled to Grand Rapids to Van Andel Arena for the Division 2 State Finals. Six Packers qualified from the Individual Regional tournament.

     At 103 pounds, RJ Thome (Jr) posted 3 pins over opponents from Lake Fenton, Melvindale and Holland to place 4th and earn All-State Honors.

He is now 2 times All-State having earned 5th place last year at Ford Field.

     At 112, Tee Ward (Fr) won matches against wrestlers from Eaton Rapids, Carleton-Airport, Tecumseh and Jackson Northwest to claim 4th place as well and a spot on the All-State podium.

     Senior Eli Beasley, at 119, defeated Davin Roche from Madison Heights- Lamphere 15-8. He then was injured and defaulted his next two matches, not being able to finish. He had a great season and completes his senior year with over 100 career victories.

     Trey Myers, 130, was the victor against foes from Adrian and Southgate Anderson, which earned him  8th place and All-State Honors as a freshman. 

     At 160, Trey Breuker was the Regional Champion and seeded second at State,  but he was not able to compete at the State tournament. It would have been his second trip to State, earning  All-State accolades last year at 152 pounds.

He had a fantastic year and reached a total of over 150 wins  for his career. He was also a team captain.

      Sophomore, Michael Romero, qualified for the second year in a row to individual state. He had an outstanding season and was  a captain as well.
