Fremont Wrestling Qualified for the Team State Championships for the Second Consecutive Year
Fremont Wrestling Qualified for the Division 2 Team State Championships held in Kalamazoo Wings Stadium. They faced Monroe-Jefferson in the quarterfinals. At 130, Freshman Trey Myers posted the first win over Ethan Brabant 6-3. At 215, Senior Cody Visscher pinned Nathan Masserant at the 5 minute mark. Colby Wright took just 1:31 to pin Freddie Martin at heavyweight. The last Packer victory came at 112 from Junior RJ Thome, who had a major decision against Issac Masserant and blanked him 13-0. The Packers fell by the score of 49-19.
Their final record for the year was 26-3. Great job team!
