The Fremont Packers finished strong at the Allendale Invitational on Saturday.  Numerous teams in attendance are currently ranked in the top 8 in the state of Michigan.  The Packers battled their way to 4th place overall out of 17 teams and had 10 medalists.

RJ Thome was the overall Champion at 103 pounds, beating opponents from Reeths-Puffer, Cedar Springs, Williamston and then defeating  Brendan Smith from Plainwell by a fall in 40 seconds.

Chase Knudsen also was a finalist at 152 pounds. He had a exciting wins against Hart, Fulton, Stevensville-Lakeshore and then lost in the finals, 5-1,  to Rozycki Of Reeths-Puffer. 

Kyler Kolk placed 3rd at 215 pounds. He defeated opponents from Tri-County and Allendale.

Eli Beasley placed 4th at 112 pounds and won by decision of 11-5 over Bloomstrom of RP

Trey Breuker was 4th at 160 pounds. He won against Stevensville-Lakeshore and Wayland.

Also placing 4th was Michael Romero at 189 pounds. He pinned Noyes of Wayland in 57 seconds.

Jager Kibart was 5th at 145 pounds and was 3-1. He beat his competition from Wayland, Williamston, and Stevensville-Lakeshore.

Gage Montague was 2nd and lost a tough match in the finals against Plainwell.

Cody Visscher was 3rd and won his last match against Hart.

Austin Thomas was 3rd at 285.

Other key match winners were Matt Halasinski (140), and Alex Gleason (130) .
