Fremont Wrestling Goes Undefeated in Both Duals

The Packers opened their wrestling season with two solid dual wins. Their first dual of the season was against Cadillac.

Fremont won 83-0 with pins by Cody Visscher, Colby Wright, Sam Parks, Wie Chen, Alex Gleason, and Gage Montague.

Matthew Halasinski recorded a technical fall of 16-1. Receiving forfeits were Kyler Kolk, RJ Thome, Cody Routley, Eli Beasley, Jager Kibart, Trey Breuker, and Chase Knudsen.  

In the second dual of the night, the Packers again won all 14 weight classes.  They defeated Manistee by a score of 82-0.

Recording pins were RJ Thome, Cody Routley, Gage Breuker, Jager Kibart, and Michael Romero. At 215, Kyler Kolk won by a major decision of 11-0.  Packers that won by forfeit were Colby Wright, Eli Beasley, Wei Chen,Alex Gleason, Gage Montague, Matthew Halasinski, Trey Breuker, and Chase Knudsen. 

They travel to Kent City this weekend for their Invitational. The Packers wrestled in the finals there last year and placed second behind Division I Rockford.
