The Packers came up short on the soggy home finale lossing 28-7 against Montague.  Both teams struggled to get a feel for the wet conditions in the 1st quarter leading the game to be tied at 0 at the end of the 1st quarter.  The Packers drew first blood early when Talen Reichert-Slater rolled out to his right and found Kyler DeKuiper, who made some nifty moves and ran out of a tackle to take it to the house on an 89 yard touchdown reception. Ben Mellema added the extra point for a 7-0 lead.  Montague answered right back and tied the game at 7 going into halftime.  Montague came out from half and scored 21 unanswered points to push the lead to 28-7.  The Packers had a few drives that looked promising, but ended in a punt or turnover on downs.  Talen Reichert-Slater finished the night 8/17 for 135 yards and 1 touchdown.  Kyler Dekuiper had 95 yards on three receptions and a touchdown.  Owen Hertel had 4 receptions for 35 yards and 7 rushes for 14 yards.  Khai Noordyk had 24 yards on 13 attempts.  Leading the Packers on defense was Connor Pettis with 11 tackles, Owen Hertel with 9 tackles, Quin Farrell with 8 tackles, Noah Hansen with 7 tackles, and Kyler DeKuiper added an interception.  The Packers travel to Whitehall next Friday at 7.
