The Packers struggled offensively in the soggy conditions and came up short  in a 28-7 loss against Montague.  The 1st quater saw both teams getting a feel for the wet field and with both teams punting away the ball and a 0-0 tie at the end.  The Packers drew first blood when Talen Reichert-Slater rolled out to his right and found Kyler DeKuiper, who made some nifty moves and ran out of a tackle to take it to the house for an 89 yard touchdown reception.  Ben Mellema added the extra point to push the Packer lead to 7-0.  Montague answered right back and drove down the field to tie the game at 7 going into halftime.  Montague then reeled off 21 straight points to push the lead to 28-7.  The Packers put together a few drives that looked like they had promise, but they fizzled out and ended with a punt or turnover on downs.  Talen Reichert-Slater finished the night 8/17 for 135 yards and 1 TD.  Khai Noordyk added 24 yards rushing on 13 attempts.  Kyler DeKuiper had 3 receptions for 95 yards and a touchdown.  Owen Hertel had 4 receptions for 36 yards and 7 rushes for 14 yards.  Leading the Packers on defense was Connor Pettis with 11 tackles, Owen Hertel with 9 tackles, Quin Farrell with 8 tackles, Noah Hansen with 7 tackles, and Kyler DeKuiper added an interception.  The Packers travel to Whitehall next Friday night at 7.
