Fremont secured a dramatic 12-11 walk-off victory against Reed City on Thursday evening. The game was tied at 11 in the bottom of the seventh inning when Easton Herman's single drove in the winning run, capping a thrilling conclusion.


In a game marked by explosive offense, Fremont collected 12 hits while Reed City tallied 10. The Packers began their scoring in the bottom of the first inning with contributions from Luke DeLong, who doubled, Ben Mellema, who singled, and Blake Zerlaut, who walked—all driving in one run each.


Fremont regained the lead, 10-9, in the bottom of the sixth inning, thanks to key singles from DeLong and Paxton Borgman. The climactic bottom of the seventh saw Gabe Jones and Easton Herman each deliver RBI singles, sealing the 12-11 victory.


Chase Mercer earned the win for Fremont, pitching four and two-thirds innings. He surrendered six hits and five runs (one earned), striking out four and walking one. Owen Vanderstelt started on the mound, allowing four hits and six runs (three earned) over two and one-third innings, with one strikeout and four walks.


Fremont's offense was led by DeLong, who drove in three runs and went 2-for-4. Herman excelled at the plate with three hits in five at-bats, while Mellema and Mercer each contributed multiple hits. The team also demonstrated agility on the base paths with four stolen bases.
