In a challenging battle on Wednesday night, Fremont Varsity Baseball struggled to match the intensity of Whitehall, ultimately succumbing to an 11-1 defeat.

Despite their best efforts, Fremont found themselves trailing early in the game. However, they managed to get on the scoreboard in the first inning when Luke DeLong courageously took a pitch, driving in a crucial run for the team.

Unfortunately, Fremont faced an uphill battle as Whitehall maintained their offensive momentum throughout the game. Johnny Keena, Fremont's starting pitcher, displayed resilience on the mound, but ultimately couldn't contain Whitehall's potent lineup. Keena pitched three and two-thirds innings, conceding seven runs (three earned) on five hits while managing three strikeouts and four walks.

Despite the setback, Luke DeLong emerged as a standout performer for Fremont, leading the team with one run batted in. Paxton Borgman also contributed with a solid performance at the plate, going 1-for-2 to lead Fremont in hits.

Looking ahead, Fremont Varsity Baseball remains determined to bounce back from this defeat as they prepare to face Fruitport at Marsh Field on Friday night.
