The Girls JV Volleyball team battled the Cardinals from Big Rapids this evening at a home conference match.  Serving was the main offense this evening as the lady Packers served up 16 Aces; Kendall Barnhart with 5 Aces and 10 points, Marcy Tanner with 4 Aces and 8 points, Addie Shields with 3 Aces and 4 points.  Offensively, the lady Packers chipped in 14 kills; led by Tanner and Shields with 5 apiece, Barnhart with 2, and Maddie Rottman with 1.  Kaiya Flores put down a monster "quick kill" to help seal the victory in the third set.  Freshman setter Lily Vandenberg had 10 assists as she worked very diligently putting the ball in position for our hitters to attack the ball.

Defensively, the Pack was led by Shields with 9 digs, Syd moon with 4, Tanner with 6, Bella Ross with 3 and Barnhart with 8.  Sage Vandenberg had a tremendous block to add to the point total.  

Overall, a great victory for the Pack as they stepped onto the hard court for their first match of the season after training for weeks outside in various conditions.  Well done ladies!
