The Varsity Lady Packers hosted the Fremont Packer Volleyball Invitational August 27th, 2022.  The Pack fought diligently during pool play and earned the #2 seed for bracket play. 

After the first round of bracket play, the Pack played Hesperia, defeating them in 2 sets to set up the championship match with Western Michigan Christian.  The final match was a battle to the bitter end and the Packers avenged their earlier loss to WMC, winning the championship in 2 sets; 25-20, 26-24.

Several team members contributed to the success for the tournament.  Ace leaders included Kendall Barnhart with 12, Avery Christoffersen with 10, while Syd Moon, Marcy Tanner, and Carle Bruggema each chipped in 8.  Attack leaders included Sage Vandenberg with 35 kills, Barnhart with 25, and Bruggema with 23.  Bruggema put up 102 assists on the day.

Defensively, the Pack was led by Christoffersen with 48 digs and Barnhart with 40 digs.  Vandenberg and Taylor Waite had 4 and 3 blocks respectively.

It was a great day for Packer Volleyball.  The Pack travel to Mona Shores on Tuesday for their next match.  Go Pack!
