The Fremont girls' soccer team played Muskegon Reeths-Puffer in the first round of the district tournament on Wednesday afternoon. Puffer struck early and never looked back. Billie Tryska scored just 5 minutes into the match followed by a goal by Malorie Messer and another goal by Tryska to make the score 3-0 at the half. Sofia Heckkema added two more goals for the Rockets making the final 5-0. Reeths-Puffer outshot the Packers 16-2. Ava Klopp made 2 saves for Puffer and Hallie Snyder made 11 saves for the Packers. Fremont ended the season 14-5-1 while the Rockets improved to 12-5-3. Reeths-Puffer will take on the winner of Ludington-Muskegon in the second round.
