The Fremont girls' soccer traveled to Reed City on Saturday to participate in the 1st annual Reed City Invitational.  Ithica, Lakeview, Fremont, and Reed City were all in attendance.  Fremont's first match came against Lakeview where the Packers outshot Lakeview 10-2 and won the game 4-1.  Mia Clemence scored the only goal of the first half putting the Packers in the driver's seat.  Clemence, Maddie Mater and Olivia Dunbar all added goals in the second half for Fremont.  Clemence and Mari Rojas each has assists for Fremont.  Lakeview's lone goal came from Kendal Pearson.  Hallie Snyder made one save in net for the Packers while Lakeview's Tory Hiter made 7 saves for Lakeview.  The final score was 4-1.  Fremont improved to 2-2-1 overall and 0-1 in the conference while Lakeview fell to 2-2-1 and 0-1 in the conference.  Fremont advanced to play Reed City in the finals.

Fremont again got out to an early lead, this time against Reed City, with Mia Clemence scoring in the first half on a penalty kick.  This was the only goal of the match.  In the second half Fremont added two more goals, one from Riley Chase and the other from Clemence.  Chase and Mari Rojas added assists.  Fremont outshot Reed City 13-2.  Kate Mellema made 2 saves in net for Fremont.  Murr Hodges made 10 saves in net for Reed City.  Fremont took home the trophy and improved to 3-2-1 overall and 0-1 in the conference.  Reed City suffered its first loss of the season and fell to 3-1 and 1-0 in the conference.
